I'm sure I'm mising something obvious but here goes ...

I have been trying to recall the name of a system I played in the early to mid 1990s. I though it was "Daemon" or something like that but cannot seem to locate it on any search engines.

It had a percentile skill system, and I recall the combat system was detailed involving hex movement, thrust, parry, defence, riposte, dodge etc with the choices being limited by the available space.

I think there was also a thousand table at the back of the rules book to add "spice" to the character. You know the sort: Your PC is blind, has no hands and smells of decaying offal, but you get +05 to recognise turnips.

I know this decsribes about a zillion systems but I thought if anyone was likely to be able to give me a steer it would be one of the members here.

Any thoughts?

I do not own Daemon but have thought about picking it up one of these times.  It is on the harder side to find.  Here is a reference from an Ebay auction a little while back.  You might recognize the picture.

Yes,

That's the one. Thanks everyone.

I remember we made out cards for the combat system so that it would run smoothly. it was slowed down a little by the need for hexes & stuff but it would be a breeze with TacTiles.

I also really liked the artwork.

OK now that I've talked it up & made sure it'll cost me 4x as much you should all just move along .....

nothing to see here  :D

Was there ever a Book 2?

I never came across one if there was.

i dont remember my mate ever saying there was and he went on about that book and then some....

maybe the book itself will give some indication of that anyway, or if you find who released the book, you may find some clue as to that in that direction too....

I think we discussed that somewhere a little while back and decided that there was no book 2.
