Exactly.

Here's the answer to my first (and possibly only) mystery item:

ImageImage

Player characters have been transported from Earth to Dontarra.  Yes, it's Machineguns & Magic, complete with my usual attempt at tearing off the pricetag.  MG  Games Publishing, Inc. 88 pages and a double-sided character sheet.

Interesting game design points:

50 Luck Points
. . . subtract d10 from Luck Point pool to re-attempt a failed roll, refilled daily)

Hurt Points
. . . Strength (d100) + 20 ("Because we LIKE you!")
. . . Total number of Wounds and Thumps that can be taken before death or unconsciousness

Truly a book of infinite spells.

1981 Baron Publishing, La Puente, California?
I've never seen one though. Thanks. How many Pages? 40? Is it a blank book for cleric characters to add their spells to?

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

Oh heck. I wish you hadn't provided the answer.  :D
I would have been pulling my hair out trying to figure it out. It has the look of the leatheresque encyclopedia magica.

beasterbrook,

I love Lankhmar.  And am extremely jealous.  No, I have never seen or heard of this.  Worth some indepth research.  Any way to contact those on the credits list?

Also am intrigued by the subtitle:  SLayers in Lankhmar II.

That's a great item.  The only unusual Lankhmar I have is this:

Here's something I'm posting for the cover.  Check out the face on the lion.

It's undated.  If anybody knows from when it springs, please pass along.

The thing about that lion's face is....it shows how the words "professional" and "good" might not be the same thing.  Remember back in the days when gaming was not big business?

re: the Paragon Gladiatorial Rules, I have this edition dated November 1977.  No indication as to whether this is first, second, etc. edition, just the date on the first page.

That's great.  Thanks.  I'm guessing from a couple of things that "The Lion" (or Perilous Poozer) is from 1974.  In the beginning (there are no page numbers), it records the following under Equipment Needed:

See Military Modelling' magazine for August 1973.

At the very end under Second Commercial it says:

We expect that our Twentieth Century skirmish Rules will also be out by Jan. '75 in the new format.

From that I would guess '74.

Also included is an extra sheet entitled "Gladitorial Rules--Amendments."

The home address is in Teddington.
