Back on 30 Nov, I wrote in Stump the Forum:Where in D&D canon* does the following sentence appear?

"This monster only attacks metal objects, it will not physically harm an adventurer."

* canon, ie not in a magazine or adventure

That's the obvious reference, but no, quote's not from the Monster Manual (I).

This is from the MM1 Errata Sheet (only; this wording does not appear in MM1 itself).

Is there any similar errata about the Carrion Crawler?---I've always given them a minimal bit attack (1-2 points of damage), figuring that they've got to eat somehow ;)   Hmm, or perhaps on the Monster Card....

Me neither, but the cover image seems to depict the Witch King attack on Eowyn and Merry in the Battle of the Pelennor Fields??

Beasties referenced on the errata sheet are:
Beetles, Giant
Bombadier Beetle
Beholder
Type III Demon
Dinosaur, Teratosaurus
Gnome
Goblin
Leopard
Orc
Portuguese Man-O-War
Rust Monster
Titan
Wight
Wraith
Xorn
Yeti
I would have thought there was a scan of that someplace here....

Ah; spotted one in passing that hadn't been guessed, apologies.

=> What should be the first issue of the first all-German (as opposed to "issued by occupying forces"!) "RPG" magazine from 1978, Mythos; later Spielwelt from 1985. The name of the game wasn't D&D at first, of course. :)
Bonus early German RPG item on the right for those who love blank covers...

I need to re read that book. It's been 20 years since I've read it. I wonder how it holds up?

More of a contest, but seems like a good as place as any.

The structure in the illustration is a real place. Name it and you get a prize.

PLAYTESTERS are not allowed to participate!   :D

I was going to guess 'Arkham Asylum' but I don't think that is a real place

My initial thought was Château de Versailles. But upon googling it... maybe not. :)
