Prolly too easy...

Where in D&D canon* does the following sentence appear?

"This monster only attacks metal objects, it will not physically harm an adventurer."

* canon, ie not in a magazine or adventure

That's the obvious reference, but no, quote's not from the Monster Manual (I).

Fugue for 3, but can't be 4th level music, obviously.

I'm not 100% sure what it is myself, hoping for some info after we have some fun guessing :)

one of the rolemaster rebinding jobs where they took multiple books and threw them into a new (& unlabelled) cover?
i don't want to besmearch the fine legacy of the charlton/fenlon/amthor group at ICE; the rebinding jobs were done by Niedlinger & Kubasch after the other folks were long gone.

Yes, the Rolemaster hardcover Limited Edition of course.  I guess I'm missing a page though, you know, the one where typically the publisher or author explains the point of doing the special reprint :)

Anyone recall how/where they were sold?  Or any particular 'buzz' about the book (or Rolemaster in general) at the time?  I think the contents were fairly dated by the time this ws printed.  Just me being curious I suppose.

don't think of it as a special reprint. think of it as a merciless cash grab, where they took old stock, jammed the books AS IS inside an ugly cover and sold them as limited edition (i think 200) items. Limited by the existing stock they had lying around that they tried to pawn off on people....

This is from the MM1 Errata Sheet (only; this wording does not appear in MM1 itself).

Obviously because a canon doesn't get L4 spells yet...
