That's definitely a Necromican.  Better challenge is to spell the title properly (yes, I looked it up after spelling it incorrectly as well) or guess how the damage was caused.

It almost looks like there was a shipping statement on the envelope that got ripped off.

Still, not as egregious as that "Negromican" that popped up on ebay a while ago.

Yes of course, Blackmoor is spot on!

I bet Mars is right, it looks like a window sticker got ripped off, along with most of the cardboard.  I'm just glad the cover of the booklet didn't come off along with it :)

I draw the line at collecting... D&D beach towels.

Interesting.... looks like a supplement from the end of 80's.

Know what y'mean: except it's what you were waiting for, rather than promising a chance to play yourself (so to speak), apparently. :)

I'm almost positive I've seen that before, but I just can't place it.

Yes, it has that "I know I have seen this before" look to it. I just can't place it. I want to say that I saw it lying on a table at Gen Con, Origins, whichevercon, a long, long time ago.

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

It is in fact from 1986. I certainly never saw this at Gencon. I did not know to be searching for it until Heroic Worlds came out. The address listed for the publisher was Larchmont New York.

Heh; not $150 of "interesting", though. :)

Where had the cover been posted before, or is it just the artist/style that's familiar?

Since we were on combat systems, one actually sold at cons while I try and fail to figure out that latest submission!

Sorry 'bout the lack of snazzy cover art, Brette. ;)

*g* No stopping you, Bill. ;)

Did you file that for reference at the time given the seller in question, or actually have another copy?
1978 was rather early to be in the marketplace for selling combat systems.

That'll be a ninja from Bill for you as well, then, Brette. :)
*points above to the answer*. Google wouldn't have helped, either!

Didn't even have time to make a cup of tea... ;p

I couldn't find what I was looking for, so it's 1978 again;
