Done, plus I pointed him to this thread.

I email Aaron a couple days ago about this and summed up my findings for him so he wouldn't have to read through the pages on the forum.  He pulled a copy from the warehouse and it seemed like a legit copy so I think he just has a bad stock photo.

Gah, don't tell me this.... Well at least I have a 1st print w baggie.
I take it the price on the 2nd is like the price on the Montie Haul (same font, etc.)?

No its not the same font as the MH.  The MH price font is very round.  This font is probably the same one they use for the title and for Gamelords, LTD on the Compleat Tavern.  It is also a much smaller size than on MH.

Aaron Leader is selling his fake for $35 on KNG.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

I talked to Aaron and the copies he has for sale are authentic.  I bought a first print from him but his stock photo is the fake - he's going to change it.

I own a really nice copy of The Compleat Tavern, signed by Kerry Lloyd.

However, it lacks the cardstock maps.

So, if you bought one of the forgeries (sold by (as I recall) the same guy who puts copies of the Dr. Demento tournament modules up on Ebay every so often), and you are planning to toss it in the fire....consider sending me the photocopied maps, as they are better than nothing.

The guy's name is...like...Dandylion, or something like that.

I pointed Tadashi to this thread again, will also look at my copies of the GL items, Brian, now that I'm back home again.

Ironically, my first set of the original D & D set was a photocopy of the fourth printing I bought from Kerry Lloyd for $3.  (I was a poor high school student who didn't know any better.)  He sold copies to a couple of others as well.

Wow, thanks, guys. I was worried a had a forged copy of "Montie Haul," but the pictures showed it to be authentic, but... now that you've posted pictures, any forgery seller could just use it and one would not know until after they purchased it. :(

One reason I do not like to buy this kind of stuff online, except from a very few sellers.
