Except for B2 which is lightly humorous in a dark way, but is mostly a redetailing of the adventure and keep. It is about as thick as a supermodule and sells cheaply most of the time. It is just a damn good module, hacked or not, but probably to overproduced to be anything but useful to a DM (rather than collectable).

Same experience here.

I went over to the Kenzer forum and was able to scrounge up a trade.  Found someone who wanted a specific item, got it for him (~$20) and swapped.

Looked through some old HackJournals recently, and it seems this one must have sold out really fast - it was never listed amongst other products available.

smarmy1 wrote:$60 seems like a fair price; however if you have the cash and don't want to wait, the one on Amazon for $20K is an absolute steal. :)

The seller campus_ministry_support has listed a ToExE without the piercing damage that mine has.  Both of our prices are now under 2K.  :)

Now you should lower yours again and get into a price cutting war

I was collecting (and playing) Hackmaster when ToExE came out and even then it was a bit tricky to get hold of (in the UK).  I think my local games shop (Travelling Man) had one copy in (which I bought).  It came out towards the end of the Hackmaster line.

The Lejendary Adventures core rules have never sold for much, but here's an auction for three used Hekaforge core books that ended at $25.01 plus $5.05 shipping:

A holiday anomaly, perhaps?

Maybe the first printing was a short run?

I think the citybooks were great. I only used a fraction of the shops but what I did use became staples of my campaigns.

The FBI web-site shows them among their 'temporartily out of stock' titles:

#8516 Citybook VI: Uptown (to be reprinted Dec 2009?)

I have it on my 'wanted' list, and will be ordering it when it comes available... a first print is now out of my range  :?

There appears to be no ebay auction history showing for this one - anybody recall recent sales?

II and VI are out of print.

They still show up for much less than the $80+ this is showing at the moment.  I've picked up first printings of the whole series over the last several months, and didn't pay big money for any of them (max $15).

There are a couple of printings for the first few books (a Blade version and an FBI version) but neither of them sell for much.  $10-$15 is usually the starting price and they end with 1 or 2 bids.  $80 is a ridiculous price.

The only one that is hard to find and sometimes gets up there in value (maybe in the $40 or $50) range is the UK version of Citybook I.

We should also note that it is only two bidders driving the price on this at the moment.

I know almost nothing about miniatures collecting, but this certainly seems high:
