Much to my chagrin as one of the cancelled bidders!

Damn! I didn't realize there were bidders on this. No reason given for cancelling out on the auction?

As much as I respect their work, that price is pure lunacy.

If they figure these are going for that price why not try and reprint them? (Or is there some reason they can't be reprinted?) But I vaguely remember the last one going for $90 or so. Months ago though.

It said "Seller ended the auction early and cancelled all bids."  I put an inquiry to the seller.  It could be they are out of one of the mods and need to update the listing for the lot.  I think Gnat was in on this one, too, if I know my E-Bay hidden users...

Can't say I have been watching this that closely, but I think that sounds about right.

Yeah, I was thinking about going for a lot myself (after picking up one for someone else).

Yes, I had bid on several of those listings recently....
And I was not pleased about the last listing being ended early either.

Either some desparate muppet who likes to name himself after NG, a cyber-stalker if you like, or it is NG, and the guy's fantasy of how valuable the product is, is a sad reflection and valuable insight into why the company went under in the first place. I'm guessing the latter.

It's the Necromancer, and it isn't a fantasy.

It is a seller who does not really need to make a sale and is not anxious to part with the product without a good reason.

He's not stupid...he's just not in a hurry.

The Necromancer guys have been slowly selling off what little stock they have on hand through a local game store employee over the past year.  They don't have a lot lying around...nothing like the recent Kenzer sell-off.

That NG handle belongs to Bill Webb, the company has not gone under, but not sure why he's gone by Amazon's prices and not from Ebay where he's selling it.

Picked mine up for $3.99 in May, did I get a great deal or is this seller just way off?

You can still find copies on ebay for under $100 if you are patient. I don't think that item will ever be worth even half the asking price, they pop up far too frequently.

Don't usually post to this thread, but someone is going to be sorely disappointed with their $30 dollar purchase:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... K:MEWAX:IT

This contains some not very exciting dot matrix pre-gens ...but the real kicker is as noted by Gnat you can still buy these today from Flying Buffalo for $2!  The last one sold on Ebay for $60!!!  Well at least the price is going down but reddoogie had a lot better things to buy for $30.

If someone in US order one and could take one more for me it would be great (I will pay for it plus the postage to France of course) since shipping to France is $19 from their website (flat rate)... Letter mail would not exceed $6 I guess.

For example, this guy obviously has no clue about the selling price of these sets so it makes me wonder if he actual ever kept track of the hobby or not.  Since it is such a dumbass price, it makes me wonder what other dumbass comments/decisions he has made such as dealing with RJK or even that Dreadmire guy.

Bad comments/decisions was coming up with all sorts of excuses for not publishing Tegel Manor for 3.5E when they had the chance.  So people would not buy a republished verion of Tegel Manor for what $60, but they will buy a Wilderlands for $699?    :?
