I should have made you bid on that one I found, Jason. :P

On another note: what the hell?

I mean, I know it quite clearly has some shelfwear and I'm not complaining about the final price, but I expected at least one other bidder on that.

That is the highest that I have seen City by the Spire go for.  8O

I did not see that .99 cent UO or I would have tossed a bid on it.  :)

The guy actually had a decent amount of UOs.  (I managed to get 4, 5, 10, and 11 off of him.  Brette got some too, from what I saw.)  What surprised me about the final price is that that was the only one that didn't get any bids other than my own.  Given the attention paid to the others, I would have expected somebody to have at least kicked a bid in.

I already had that one, and I suppose others had it as well.. annoyed I missed out of 14/15.. its now the only one I have left to get.. I went out to buy the ones I was missing just to get it out of the way, just trying to concentrate on finishing a couple of the magaine runs...

Brette:)

Meant to ask: were you in on the bidding on those Stormbringer monographs he also had?

My snipes were quickly surpassed in the final bidding. :(

How about a Scotland Aceaum meet and greet in October? We have a visiting dignitary from over the water, so maybe an evening in a pub is called for?

PS, Sorry for the avatar, D. I know tiggers are your thing. I just couldn't resist this one.

I already have issue 11, the only ones that I am missing are 1,2,3 and 7.
The frequency that they are appearing on eBay seems to be diminishing so I am probably going to have to pay more than I originally wanted to if I want to complete the collection.  :(

On a happy note I recently bought Pagan Publishing's Golden Dawn for $40.00 at the Abe Books online store. Still waiting to receive it.

I got a laugh out of the minimum price and the description on this one:

** expired/removed eBay auction **

The seller states that www.boardgamegeek.com values it at $390.  Apparently the seller didnt pay a whole lot of attention while at boardgamegeek or he would have realized that there isnt a valuation for the game.  They have a marketplace section where you can buy the games from other members.  The listing for Riddle of the Ring for $390 has been up since 9/7/2007.

This is what happens when certain people pay stupid prices for crappy RPG supplements/adventures:

** expired/removed eBay auction **

Now every seller that pays attention to those auctions will raise their prices to ridiculous levels.  At least the seller allows a potential buyer to make an offer.

These have come down some in price over the last year but they still fetch a tidy sum.  Especially if they are complete, unpunched, and in great condition.  A year ago people were paying upwards of $100 for one of these.  The seller could definitely do himself a favor and add pictures and description of the contents.
