Three of these six books are still available from Flying Buffalo.  That leaves Dungeon of the Bear 1, Grimtooth's Traps 1 and Deathtrap Equalizer Dungeon.  How much are they worth separately?  I'd have thought about $10 each.

The black box is the rarest T&T box. I saw it rarely on ebay and this one is the first one I see in so excellent condition. I guess it is why they bid so much...

I have a black box set too -- I think I picked it up on eBay for $10 three or four years ago, so I never thought of it as a rarity.  Obviously the shallow full-colour boxes are easier to get nowadays, and it looks like even the Fiery Dragon 7th edition tin boxes are coming down in price.

Thanks for the link to Outlaw Press, Brette.  Those new adventures look interesting -- I'm going to have to check them out.

I think that you might see these up again, even if only 250 were produced, it wasn't that long ago - and I am not sure how many were bought originally.  I wonder also if this set might be slightly different from the one Grodog bought a year ago (almost exactly if I recall)... ???

I haven't heard back either, but I picked up the two true first/pre-pub TUO#1s there.  I didn't see anything else at the booth that looked rare.  The edition was signed/numbered @ 250, but Tynes told me that the stock that he had left when I bought my old TUOs from him c. 1993 was damaged/incomplete/water stained, so there's likely far fewer than 250 out there (he had said that they never sold well).  

Dennis Detwiller does have an art book that he's doing now, IIRC from his blog; it may contain the two images that he did in the set.  (Steven, I think our sets are identical, though I'll have to go check to confirm).  

(PS - I'm also looking for Courting Madness too ).
