Not necessarily silly! That price is insane. A couple of these have sold recently in Australi for $30 to $40. I don't think I've ever seen it go for over $60. $150 is crazy.

Dumbass reseller - 0

Take a look at who the other bidder was.  Jayhoelinc is starting to remind me a lot of a couple of other resellers who thought they could buy up everything in a particular genre and sell it for ten times its actual going rate.

This definitely makes up for the shitty weekend I had.  :batman:

Which features yet another genius who charges $250+ in Handling fees.  Must be an attorney charging for his time.

Was a time when the Central Casting books were going for a lot, not sure if that holds true today.

I know what you are talking about, but still not $125 high, more like $50 or $60 high. :)   Actually, they have decreased in price considerably the last 12 months and I have seen the last few sold go for less than $25 each.

I am guessing that the seller probably looked on ebay before pricing and found this one:

Its been up for a long time.  The last Central Castings influx of price I think was a acaeum hype thing that has settled back down now.

Not really an auction, but I was poking about abebooks.com, just for fun, and I stumbled upon a Steading of the Hill Giant listed for the low-low price of $1275. I think I'll buy 50 at that price...

$30 for the three original Traveller rulebooks...and no box?  Gotta love this bit of BS in the description:

It is very rare to find all three books together in such great shape.

Whatever... :?

Booty went high? Hell no. His two Lairs went for under 100, which was astounding.

Booty used to be one of those books that would sell for $200+.  Noble Knight sold their last 2 copies for $250.  I think Wayne sold a copy out of his store for $250 as well.  But there has really been a rash of them on Ebay lately - at least 4 them in varying price ranges but as low as $70.  Calithena also sold one recently too.

The Lairs did go fairly cheap and the Demons and Notmen sold for around what I thought it would  <shakes fist at Lance again> :)

- The Lairs did go fairly cheap
checked records and both back at 2003-2004 prices before hype. only 2 or 3 people competing since??
happy that new winners for both - no finoreddrale or other person hoarding multiples except to protect stock prices
