I really like some of the Arduin supplements (great spells and some cool tables, etc.), but I never saw any of their dungeons (modules) at the hobby shops back in the day. I have no idea what they might go for  , but this seems like a crazy starting price 8O even though most of his other items are not insanely priced.

Yes, he's dreaming.  The Arduin modules are good sellers but that figure is too high.

God, some people are absolute blockheads (not just Cougie that is asshole-sumed). That seller overpaid by about $20....Deogolf is selling them on Ebay for $16 BIN.  Love this description by the Cougster:

MINT ADV 4-7TH FROM THE ORIGINAL WRITER ROBERT J KUNTZ IN A FIRST EDITION MODULE, THE SECOND FOR YEARS TO BE RELEASED, TWO GREAT ADVENTURES WITH OTHERS PLANNED. THIS IS A STRICTLY LIMITED PRINT RUN AND COMES WITH CERTIFICATE SIGNED OF AUTHENTICITY. NUMBERED. PIED PIPER PUBLISHING, COLLECTORS EDITION. YES I AM PROUD TO BE NAMED INSIDE THE MODULE. IT IS ME.

I don't know what I like more...All caps; the line about the "original writer" (orignal writer of what? The module? Huh?); the "second for years" 1st edition module (nope, not even close, sorry); and the "IT IS ME" at the end, I can just picture Coug in a British schoolboy outfit with his shoes untied and his little tie unraveled, his huge belly sticking out of the much too small shirt, stubble on his face, wearing one of those cute little caps, holding the stained module with one grimey fist and proudly pointing to the title page with the other..."IT IS ME!!!!" :D

in all fairness to coug here, the selling cost is not that bad considering. if you were in the UK buying that, its not bad, cos it would cost almost that to get it directly off Rob.

just thought i would say. not going into any descriptions or anything :)

Coug is going to slap at least another $10 on for shipping, so it's at least $15 more buying it from him than Rob and Co, shipping included...plus you are dealing with a straight up honest guy with Deogolf and Coug, well if you don't buy the insurance you are in line for a retalitory neg and a tongue lashing if you complain when the item doesn't arrive....

If people will pay that for them, where's the problem?

No problem, I'm just always amazed when someone bids over $20 more on an item than it's selling for elsewhere on Ebay, when they could get it for with a BIN from the manufacturer itself and avoid the "Cougie Factor". Don't know if it's laziness or sheer stupidity, either way that's the entire point of the thread....

There are a lot of inexperienced eBayers who will pay a premium to source from within the UK 'cos they don't trust the postal service, and they know that PayPal won't give them their money back if the seller is American. And of course a lot of eBayers don't have PayPal, so international trade is all but impossible.

i actually know quite a few ppl who won't buy anything outside the UK, even if it is a fraction of the cost what it is here.

pretty odd stuff, but they do have their reasons after all...to each their own eh?

Getting charged whatever this asshole feels like charging for shipping, having their item go missing, getting retaliatory negative feedback, then enduring a relentless campaign of pleas for mutual feedback withdrawal ... that is the problem.

I just started to get interested in Traveller, so I don't know much about pricing Traveller books but these two seem WAY out of line:
