That's about what they go for nowadays, last time I checked. It's a pretty pricy game.

I find it astounding. Even Titan, one of the most popular early titles only goes for $80-100.

I guess this shows the power of the internet. A lot of people rave about the game on sites like board game geek. Good ratings. A lot of people want it and demand outstrips supply. It is a remarkable price for a relatively recently published game.

Well its oop, so its rare  :)

There weren't a lot of them made but AdvCiv, RoR, AoR, CvR etc. all go for a lot of money primarily because they are by far the best games that Avalon Hill ever published. I think this was acknowledged before the Internet. The 'net probably has boosted awareness, but still games like Titan only score a 7.3 on boardgame geek, for instance.

While most AH war games sell for relatively low dollars, many strategy war games from the 70s and 80s have consistenly gone up in value. Most SPI games run solid with many topping out at more than $100 consistently. Crazy thing is that in the late 80s you could pick them up at most convention auctions for $5-10.

Even those crappy TSR/SPI boxed games are now selling for $30++. Two years ago you could get them for next to nothing.

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

I inadvertantly started an Avalon Hill collection in the late 80's, buying them for 99 cents at Goodwill.

I know its rare, popular, and all that.  But for $199 at least provide a tube of vaseline or KY to go along with it.  I dont think the last one I saw cracked $100.  And with over 400 pages I know it is heavier than your standard sourcebook but should it really take $14.50 to ship standard flat rate?  :?

I don't recall seeing Shootout, but their Ace of Aces occasionally goes in the $60-$70 range.

Congratulations on the great deal! I just had a look at Noble Knight and they have one listed for $40.00. It looks similar to Ace of Aces so it could be a fun little game.  :D
