Law Dogs is actually one of the more rare Deadlands books, it will sometimes go for around $50 or more by itself, so I imagine that's what the appeal of the lot is.

Any other Deadlands books have value?  Just wondering because I have 30 or 40 of them (Including Law Dogs) and I am considering selling them.  I would like to know which ones not to let go cheap 8)

Thanks

I sold off a bunch of Deadlands stuff recently and most don't fetch very much.  They usually go in the $5 to $10 range, though Texas Rangers went for $20.  Unfortunately I didn't have Law Dogs, I'm assuming a low print run on that one or is it the content?

It's been my experience that the Deadlands stuff often prices well when sold in "lots" therefore making it hard fore me to have obtained much of for personal use/research/resell purposes.

For Example:

http://tinyurl.com/fjkst

They're very cool books, and I would love to run a "poker" themed deadlands game for the group of friends we play cards with to try to introduce them into RPG's gently.  I only know about Law Dogs in particular since I had a copy of it sell quite nicely earlier this year.

What I HAVE noticed is that the d20 deadlands stuff, and the subgenre stuff (Hell on Earth, railwars etc) do not fetch the prices that the original game stuff does.

Sorry I can't be of more help.  =)

In France, the WFRPG campaign 'Enemy Within' is well known and has got a very good reputation, but sometimes prices get very high.

Power behind the throne WFRPG

and...

Empire in Flames WFRPG

More expensive  8O  In the last 1/2 hour, the price went from 21 to 81 Euros (100 USD).

That was a fierce battle between those 2 guys.

The Flames of War usually goes for a decent price.  I don't think it was reprinted by Hogshead like the other parts.  And they are a pretty darn good scenario too!

Now this is a bit shocking:

** expired/removed eBay auction **

These usually end up around $30 or more.  I was going to bid on it and just flat out forgot.  Oh well.  :(

I agree here. There is a big difference between trekkies and gamers who need/want miniatures.

FASA's Star Trek game just plain sucked. Their starship combat version is just plain crap.

Whoever bought that set of miniatures must have been a trekkie, because you can buy the ship miniatures much cheaper through Task Force Games that are used for Star Fleet Battles (which should never be confused with anything related to Trekism).

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

Good to know.  I have actually been looking at some FASA Star Trek stuff lately to get a feel of the prices thinking that I might pick up a few items.  Funny that you also mention how bad their starship combat system is.  I picked up the Tactical Combat Simulator about a month ago.  I already have The Last Starfighter box set by FASA and have been wanting to also get the Battlestar Galactica box set to round out the three but the prices on BSG have been through the roof lately.

Maybe I will save my money and spend it on some of the Last Unicorn Trek RPG stuff.  Or did it suck as well?  :P

Ya gotta understand that my quote is coming from a SFB junkie. We played that game forever. I also did several scenarios, articles and other smaller stuff for the game.

From a player's perspective, SFB is the best spaceship boardgame that I have ever seen. Everything else is woefully weak in comparison. But I did like the Babylon 5 game...much more simple, but it was clean.

Ironically, I am more anti-Trek than anything else sci fi. I think the original series was cool, in its campy way. I hated all the spin-offs, and none more than the Next Generation.

The Last Unicorn stuff was very nicely done.  The Romulans box set Way of the D'era was particularly good.  They covered all the series (except Enterprise which didn't exist then and, well, the show wasn't very good anyway) so you could game your preferred "generation."
