Speaking of Talisman.  What I'd like to see up for auction on ebay is the Polish-only 1st/2d ed Talisman expansion "The Cave"

Edit: Just realized right before I posed this that there is a polish ebay equivalent -- I'll have to start looking for this.

Now, why would you want a Polish gaming product?  Because it is unique?

Then again, what am I saying?  :x

Polish only board is the Jaskinia one.  There are translations of the cards and rules up on talisman island.  It's totally usable with English Talisman (with the translations) -- not that I play much Talisman (I average one game every 7 or 8 years -- after playing I always remember why I only play Talisman once every 7 or 8 years).  I'd consider buying two and reselling on ebay -- but I doubt you'd a response that'd be worth that effort it's not dragons  (and even with the nice exchange rate -- you'd probably end up losing money on shipping).

I think the Polish-only game is played backwards. The idea is to lose.

I don't get it.

That's for eight books, right? So $10 is only $1.90 above what a Priority Mail flat-rate box would cost — and $1.90 isn't too bad of a gouging, all things considered.

I didn't read every word, though ... am I missing something?

Yeah...I was too stupid to read every word as well.

I thought this guy wanted $25 for FEZ2.

I didn't see the other modules.  :x

So, this guy only wants double or triple the worth of the module...not ten times.

I bid $202.00 on that one. I'm not "plain crazy". Just a nostalgic thing for me :)

Nothing wrong at all with nostalgia.  It is the reason I collect all of the stuff that I do.  What I dont get with this is that it is a fairly common item.  I dont track sales for this particular item but I picked one up several months ago for $18.  It was in NM condition but no shrinkwrap.

I think most would agree that when an item is sold by someone that works or worked in the industry the interest in that item will be higher than normal, especially if they were instrumental in the production of the item or said item is rare.

But this Greyhawk folio went for quite a bit higher than probably anyone expected:

** expired/removed eBay auction **

Not to mention the City of Greyhawk box set:

** expired/removed eBay auction **

And I find it a bit odd that it went for twice the amount that his From The Ashes set went for.

But then the majority of the MERP modules and supplements went for much less than what their average prices usually are as well.  Damn I wish I had waited about six months to work on completing my MERP collection.

Needless to say...I am just a bit baffled.

Well, unless you're planning on defiling it yourself, SW is pretty useless, no?

Shrinkwrap is annoying.  It defeats the purpose of game collecting.  Cairn of the Skeleton King is mocking me right now.
