That's why pizza goes so well with D&D. Touching the miniatures after pizza gives them a nice shine, & the lead poisoning makes the world of fantasy come alive! Wheeee!!!

Since my only real hobby is raising local endangered reptiles and amphibians, I spend over half the year doing idiotic things like slogging through swamps chest-deep in muck, digging through ancient abandoned houses full of asbestos, and tearing my way through masses of thorn-infested brush wearing a t-shirt, shorts and sneakers. I'm far too stupid to use gloves to handle anything that won't melt my tissue instantly.
I think that's a valid point, though. Minis were handled pretty regularly back when they first came out and gamers used them. Older books may well have lead dust. Another thing to consider: old BOXES that figurines came in probably have lead dust that could be inhaled.

That's why I love this crowd - such a fine appreciation for mythology. It's not micoorganisms on dirty objects that cause infection, but the corruptive, animistic spirit of the rust itself, because our medieval village hasn't discovered microorganisms yet.

I recommend miniatures made from philosophers stone, which is heavier than lead or gold, & which causes objects near it to glow with heavenly virtue. It can even make your hair fall out in a few days, which by principles of sympathetic magic must mean that you have gained the wisdom of age in a short time. Bonus!

You are correct.  Although rust itself does not cause tetanus, objects that accumulate rust are often found in places that harbour anaerobic bacteria.  I found myself repeating what I've been taught without realizing what I actually stated.  Thanks.  I suspect part of the reason why people mis-state this is because it's just easier/shorter and provides adequate warning.  The consequences of erudite vernacular utilized irrespective of necessity can confuse.   8)

This one is a real stunner:

I love the seller's enthusiasm:

"AS FAR AS I KNOW THIS MAY BE THE LAST COPY OF THIS ITEM IN MINT CONDITION LEFT ANYWHERE ON THE PLANET."

"We dwarves are natural sprinters. Very dangerous over short distances!"

I made him an offer of $19,999. Looks like you get a full $1 in quarters.

Also, curled cover picture and smeared/stained back don't equal "mint" to me.

Buffalo Castle - 1st Edition - 1st Ever RPG Solo Adventure  8O

** eBay auction listing blocked.  Please enable cookies in your browser for this site and for eBay! **

Love the description for the premium price: "This vintage RPG adventure appears to be in Good condition, complete & intact, moderate wear, almost no writing or marks, off-white pages."

Aside from "appearing" to be in good condition and "almost" NO writing or marks, this is worth at least a few hundred bucks  PDT_Armataz_01_05

"Okay, we turn the corner and see a Purple 'WHAT' !?!" . . (the DM rolls a 20 or so he says) . . It all went black right after that.

Not an auction, but $500 for a set of Whimsy Cards seems a bit high, even by NKG standards. I think I paid... $15 for mine?

Whimsy Cards - Ars Magica - Noble Knight Games

Areas of interest/knowledge: Harn, WFRP, Ars Magica, anything BRP based such as CoC, Runequest, Pendragon and all their related games

What was the deal with LotFP anyway? I heard some controversy about one of the original writers being an abuser or a MAGA chud or something?

There was Zak someone who was a writer, seemed a right piece of work. Wasn’t Raggi the creator

Rolls a '3'

Wasn't Zak a porn star in LA who liked D&D and ran a game with his fellow porn stars and blogged about it, and I recall an interview with Vice or some such fluffery, only for one of his 'friends' to claim he abused her metooy or something like that? Then the whole industry shat itself and went running and hiding under rocks lest they get associated with the big bad Zak and get cancelled by all the young wokers?

I don't think Veins had anything to do with Zak. It was published by LotFP though, and it was the book that brought Scrap Princess to the fore.

>Edit< With regard to Veins, it was Patrick Stuart who made it so.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

This book is by Patrick Stuart and it is a good book... I posted it here because i have never seen a similar end value for such a book...

A bit over the top for a pretty common Jorune item ...
