Not sure how many of yall are into Fantasy Flight stuff but you can get this stuff at most online retail for less than this price.  Think they got carried away.

All I can say is that someone should have hit the BIN and gotten the lot at half price.

Hi All,

I know that these miniature sets can go for quite a bit, but I have never been a "Mini" collector. Be that as it may, I do know that the little gold plated minis are collectible, but had no idea how high to bid, so I did not win this auction. What would be a reasonable price to have bid for this set?

Thank you - Paul

"Okay, we turn the corner and see a Purple 'WHAT' !?!" . . (the DM rolls a 20 or so he says) . . It all went black right after that.

That's a good price, he minis in box go for around $50 - 65 normally and the gold Mini from $80 - $120

The gold mini goes for $80-120, or the set if it has the gold one? I believe my Wizard's Room set has a gold one.

The Gold mini itself goes for $80 - $120, the set if complete another $50 - $65

Wow.  Crazy on that coloring book.  I picked one up last summer for $30, and while not unused, only had 4 pages with partial coloring in Crayon, otherwise unmarked and in excellent shape!

Be cool to have an unused one, but not sure I would go that far for one :)

$25 to $50 is the normal going rate for these in the last year or so.  I was surprised at what it went for.

I think it only went as high as it did due to the bidding tactic used. This is why most of the time I just use a snipe service when i really want something. I know there are mixed feelings about that but clearly the second bidder did not like that he was continually being outbid and just drove the cost up and up then took a break then came back it did it more. How they magically stopped at the other persons high bid is somewhat ironic.

I'm not saying it is not worth what it sold for, I just think in this one instance it might have gone for about half of what it did but just a guess.

I have noticed this clown doing this (the repetitive incremental bidding thing) lately on a variety of old D&D items. Maybe one of you ebay pros can shed some light on this tactic. I'm guessing it's an employee of a reseller (has 6,000 feedback), and the guy has to keep going back and getting permission from his boss to bid more. Or maybe he's a serial dickweed  :D. Either way, he's not winning the auctions I'm seeing.

EDIT: Well, there's trying to make me look like an arse. The original BIN was IIRC $195. Certainly more reasonable now.  :D

I offered him my copy of L3 and a small amount of cash for his Rahasia.

He declined...
