Hey there. Anyone have a copy of TG1 (either edition, any condition... including a scan) they'd be willing to part with?

I'm actually working on a non-D20 project and am interested in procuring the Thieves' World license for a possible reboot (with some of the original writers). The original book is the only one I can't get my hands on. I have emailed Tadashi, but haven't gotten a response yet.

I have not seen one on Ebay for a bit.  They do come up.

I no that one person here offered to sell me a copy back when I could not win one.

Tadashi travels a lot, so you may want to email him again, or to call.  If he and I end up getting together this week while I'm in CA, I'll ping him on it.

He did say that he has shrink copies of TG box set (2nd edition) for $150.

Wow! That seems like a pretty hefty premium for shrink.

I think it's also that he doesn't have many copies of it, so they're scarce, too....

I have recently corresponded with Conan Lloyd, son of Kerry Lloyd.  (One of the original Gamelords figures.)

...If you are interested in contacting him....?

Kerry Lloyd was able to confirm one of my suspicions....specifically, that The Mines of Keridav is a title that plays upon the names of two friends...Kerry and Dave..."Keridav"...who had a hand in writing it.

I do hope this gets released, so hopefully you'll have luck in trying to get this back in print.

Yes, that would be great.  I've been in touch with him in the past, as has Tadashi, but the last email address I had went bad.

Of all of the different projects Tadashi wants to reprint via Different Worlds, TG is at the top of the list.  He's just got other priorities at the moment.... :(

How many of us could have convinced our spouse that we should name our son Conan?  I can only imagine the frosty reception that would have gotten from my wife.

There would probably be fewer strange looks today...with Conan O'Brien as a well-known name.

Funny how many people can properly pronouce O'Brien's first name ("COH-nun") and yet they insist that Howard's character is "coh-NAN."

Kids today have all sorts of bizzare names (as we have discussed elsewhere).

My brother-in-law seriously wanted to name his first son Fahfrd (as in...."and the Grey Mouser").

While on the subject of Tadashi ... this photo fell out of one of the items I bought from Greg.  The back has it labelled Origins 78.   I looked at some of the pictures on the Different Worlds sight and can recognize Tadashi - his smile hasn't changed - also good to see that he no longer leaves the nipple exposed.   I don't know who the person on the left is though?

Now that's a great photo! :D :D  I believe that the guy in the middle is Greg Stafford, and yes, Tadashi still looks the same.  No idea who the woman on the left is.  Would you like me to forward the link to Tadashi, Mark, or would you rather do so yourself?

I'll send him a pm.  I might place an order while I'm at it too :)

I assumed that was Greg in the middle too although I can't seem to find a recent picture of him.  Maybe I should post a link in the thread he checks too.

He would like that.  He enjoys talking about Chaosium and his projects.

Geez....Tadashi looks like he stepped right out of an Anime production.

I haven't seen this larger sticker before; IIRC, the one I have appears smaller in size:
** expired/removed eBay auction **

Has anyone else noticed variant sizes on these?
