IIRC the rules were cleaned up in TG 2e, but I can't give any specifics.

On the publishing front, I sent Tadashi my 1st edition, 1st printing of Thieves Guild (sans price on the cover), and he was thinking about reprinting it for awhile, but it sounds like he's not planning any publications next year (unless it's the Different Worlds CD archive).

If anyone's still interested in Gamelords reprints, do please email him so that he'll have a sense of interest in the marketplace....

This year, I ran my own version of Thieves Guild #3 The Duke's Dress Ball using the  3.5 D&D rules.  Lots of fun.

Well, shaking the Thieves Guild tree did cause a few more to land on Ebay.  One dude even piled together all of his Thieves Guild stock and sold it at about half value.

Another guy has four different Thieves Guild modules posted at the moment....at about 2.5 times the price they are available directly from Tadashi at Different Worlds.

Maybe there will be someone else out there who wants to post a 2nd Edition Thieves Guild boxed set.

Wow...I mean...someone who started at a reasonably low price on a 2nd Edition Thieves Guild boxed set could probably get a lot of bidders...it could go in the hundreds!.

Yes.

Wow...did anyone see that recent auction for a 2nd Edition Thieves Guild boxed set?

Too bad it was in shrinkwrap!

Does anyone have a non-shrink copy?

Yeah, and actually mine may have been in SW when I got it, but that was years ago.

What does it look like? I think I have one.

If you hit a Rowsdower, you get to keep it.

Well...it says Thieves Guild on the cover of a boxed set.

I don't want one in shrinkwrap....it artificially drives the price up and I cannot look at the contents without damaging a piece of game history.

What I am looking for is a slightly ratty box that will sell for a reasonable price specifically because the collectors don't want it as badly.

I'll poke Tadashi to see if he has any spare copies of the box sets lying around....

Hey there. Anyone have a copy of TG1 (either edition, any condition... including a scan) they'd be willing to part with?

I'm actually working on a non-D20 project and am interested in procuring the Thieves' World license for a possible reboot (with some of the original writers). The original book is the only one I can't get my hands on. I have emailed Tadashi, but haven't gotten a response yet.

I have not seen one on Ebay for a bit.  They do come up.

I no that one person here offered to sell me a copy back when I could not win one.

Tadashi travels a lot, so you may want to email him again, or to call.  If he and I end up getting together this week while I'm in CA, I'll ping him on it.

He did say that he has shrink copies of TG box set (2nd edition) for $150.

Wow! That seems like a pretty hefty premium for shrink.

I think it's also that he doesn't have many copies of it, so they're scarce, too....

I have recently corresponded with Conan Lloyd, son of Kerry Lloyd.  (One of the original Gamelords figures.)

...If you are interested in contacting him....?

Kerry Lloyd was able to confirm one of my suspicions....specifically, that The Mines of Keridav is a title that plays upon the names of two friends...Kerry and Dave..."Keridav"...who had a hand in writing it.

I do hope this gets released, so hopefully you'll have luck in trying to get this back in print.

Yes, that would be great.  I've been in touch with him in the past, as has Tadashi, but the last email address I had went bad.
