Hey, let's talk about collecting Thieves Guild, the most interesting game publications since God challenged Adam to checkers.

I like most everything about Thieves Guild, including the low production values and dicey artwork.

I'm planning my next campaign with everyone required (in 3.5 rules) to put at least half of their levels into rogue.

What say ye?  Anyone else here collect these delightful flights of fancy?  What is in your collection?

Anyone have anything really rare from this line?

Mark   :)  :)  :)  :)

The only really rare items I'm aware of are the Prince of Thieves tourney from GenCon East (1 or 2, I don't recall), and the TG stickers to put onto your binders :D

I know Different Worlds has these publications.  Does DW have the Prince of Thieves publication?  What about a core rules set?

I love these..but then I enjoy playing thieves.
I have all of their Fantasy products, but none of the Traveller stuff (would be interested in knowing if that is any good). I just wish it would see print again

Also, these were mailed at first as periodicals, right? Not in the sense of Magazine but in the sense that they wanted to produce and ship one a month to subscribers. If I got this right, then I think the original shipped format for the first few would have to be rare. No?

I have #2 and #3 and #4 in the original format...loose leaf, meant to be kept in a three ring binder.  I missed out on #1 recently because I was impossibly stupid.

Gamelords seems to have dropped that format for #5 and up, but do not quote me.

Nice taunting on that Prince of Thieve publication.  I can almost taste the ink.

I like the Gamelords stuff.  Duel Arcane and especially Monday Morning Manager (I got it for completeness) are hard to get.  As far as I know, Thieves' Guild I-V and The Free City of Haven came 3-hole punched before being issued in bound form.  There may be others.

Tadashi doesn't have physical copies of PoT, but I scanned my copy for him, that may be reprinted as well.  We definitely have copies of the core rules, too.

FYI.  Here's a product list that appeared in the TG 2nd edition boxed set.

Some things are obviously missing, but it is interesting.  The only fantasy-related item not on the two lists that I'm aware of is Duel Arcane (1980), a mage combat system based on shapeshifting magic.

And, IIRC, the only Phoenix Games frp product that wasn't published by Gamelords was The Lost Abbey of Calthonwey.  Unfortunately, Tadashi doesn't own the rights to that title, so we can't reprint it without tracking down the original authors (or whoever owns the rights to the Phoenix Games lines) :(

Felt like aeons ;)  Alas, it's back in KS, though, so I can't refresh my memory with any useful details for another 2 weeks (when I move back permanently).

It's well-thought out, and the cover art is good.  I especially like the map work.

Are the items listed on the Different Worlds website reprints of Thieves Guild products?
