Winterwords recent post on the War or the Rings boad game reminded me that I have this map . . . it's been sitting here for awhile now.  It's a really cool map, but I don't know if it is from a game/RPG or it's just a non-gaming Middle-Earth map.  The title is War in Middle Earth and it is quite large.  Anyone have any idea what it is from?

Unless I am mistaken "War in Middle Earth" was an older computer game. I do not remember seeing alot of it and when I did it was in the sale software bins. I could be mistaken though. Does it fold up like something that would fit in an older sized software box?

Yes, as a matter of fact it folds up to the size of a paperback novel (or an older software box).

Well, there you go then!  Pretty cool map for a video game.  Nice "fake" parchment paper - very simple and clear.

I'll have to tuck it away somewhere.

Does look like a nice map. I did not remember it being Amiga software. Though it may have been for both PC and Amiga. Have to love some of the extras they packed in with some of those older computer games. Still have the heavy cloth cloth map that was included with Ultima IV I think it was.

Ultima IV was awesome. If you had a Commodore, you could go west from the castle, and if you flipped the floppy disk over just before you got to the new area, it would spawn dozens of chests of treasure.

If you hit a Rowsdower, you get to keep it.
