An article caught my eye this morning that spotlighted Arby's poyhedral dice set going on sale at 11am pacific. https://arbysshop.com/products/dice Evidently they'd been released before and sold out quickly. All this was news to me and while I'm not typically one that gets jazz'd up by random corporate appropriations of our hobby, for $12 I thought these would be fun to have given the imbedded cowboy hats, and the fact that my wife loves her an Arby's Roast Beef (perhaps this would finally my bridge to get her onto the AD&D train!   ). When you look at the closeup shots, they look pretty sloppily made imho, so I wasn't expecting the rush to be too crazy but...of course this pretty much felt like a Ticketmaster moment. I was in queue within the first minute of release, with dice in cart, only to be shown a 'sold-out sorry we con't complete your order' after waiting 1.5 hours despite messaging indicating the contrary. It didn't take long for some of the sold out stock to show up on ebay for upwards of $500 BINs within an hour or so... 8O Love to hear if others took a stab at these roast beef dice today.

Wow, that's crazy.

I noticed that not a single set has been sold on eBay for those ridiculous prices, though.  Curious to see what happens over time.

It mainly depends on the possible restock ... if Arby reorder a large number of sets, any plan of speculation goes bad.
No offense intended but looking at the pics these dice seem not high quality ...

The attributes to look for in dice like these are utilitarian, rather than as long-term collectibles. Notice the smeared-brown quality of the ink on the dice. Someone using these at the gaming table with gravy-stained hands could roll them without fear of embarrassment from unsightly dice stains.

That sounds like a late night TV infomercial "Do you suffer from the embarrassment of unsightly dice stains?" "Well no more!"

Yes I can't believe Arby's does not have any defenses against scripts.

That is not possible... it is totally irrationale: it is enough to launch a search on ebay and you find a set for 100usd... I do not believe at that sale...

It looks like Arby's is going to do at least another round of the dice.

I hope they keep doing this until they eliminate all of the speculators snapping them up to resell.  They have been selling for anywhere from $35–$500 for a set.  That's just crazy.

One more time I'll try for these, then if I don't get them..I'm done.
