I recently picked up a Kickstarter version of Fungi of the Far Realms:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/me ... escription

It's a really well-done book.  I recommend it, if you want a comprehensive encyclopedia on fantasy mushrooms.  It's also available on Amazon (Kindle Edition), through the publisher's website, and elsewhere, if you hunt around.  I picked it up off an eBay seller.

I also got the D6 die that came with the Kickstarter, which was an added bonus.

Did anyone here participate in the Kickstarter or pick up this book?

I thought it looked interesting, but didn't back it....

This already exists, so is it just the reprint using the original KS page?

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

I believe the Kickstarter supporters got their books first, and now they are selling additional copies from the Kickstarter print run.   Not sure if they have done any additional printing runs.

From the Kickstarter:

The Saint - At £12,000 we will double the print run to 2000 copies. You noble backers will be getting the very best price on the book no matter what, but printing 2000 copies will greatly reduce the cost for post-Kickstarter purchasers.

It looks like they only produced 1000 copies of the 1st/Kickstarter printing, of which about 480 copies were sold via the Kickstarter.  That would leave approximately 500 books from the 1st printing.

The Kickstarter copies sold for a base £22 (~$28), which is quite a bit cheaper than they are sold for now.  The added Kickstarter bonuses were a custom D6 and an original watercolor mushroom from the book, if that level was chosen.

What the shit! A pound is now worth $1.23? I can't even remember ever seeing it below a buck and a half.
I have been a semi-amateur fungus collector for a long time. No, not just on my taint, and no, not just the ones that make me see dragons and unicorns. That KS makes me think it would be a lot of fun to whip up a homemade fungi addition, complete with pictures.

Yes, it's a good time to buy items from the UK.  Still have to deal with international shipping though.

Go for it!

Done! Whatever I manage to cobble together will be free to any Acaeum member, $.03 for non-members. No, wait, make that .024 pounds. Sterling.
It will take a while, but thanks for goading me into it. Having projects like this keeps me off the streets.

Yes, I backed the original KS and have the book + die. Very nice.
