Does anyone have this or have more info on this Dungeon? I could not locate any information on this dungeon or Star Games. This is what I’ve learned so far. This was a half page ad from Marvel’s X-Factor, issue #28, May 1988. The address is in a shopping center in a suburb of Toronto Canada. $12 USD in 1988 would be worth $26 today adjusted for inflation.

I do think it’s strange that the ad doesn’t specify CAD or USD. Without a title or a author’s name chances of finding this one are slim as those are the normal means of cataloguing the written word.

Have you seen this or know who the author is? Did you ever visit Star Games in Brampton? Any help would be appreciated.

This half page color ad from comic books and a similar smaller B&W ad ran as early Dragon #101 Sept 1985 and as late as Marvels X-Factor #28 May 1988. It may have run longer. The only other confirmed appearance is Marvel’s Heathcliff #25 in August 1988. The author of this Mail order Dungeon is Edward Dobrianski. He had a 2 articles on building miniature models in Dragon Magazine (#153 and #163) in 1990. He also had monster manual type publication called Fantasy Monsters & Robots self published in 1985. I contacted him via Facebook. He was polite but short and clear that he did not have any copies of either item and was not interested in answer any further questions about his work.

From the address -- and the fact that "Star Games" in Brampton doesn't appear on the Internet, which is a little odd for something only 30 years ago -- it was probably just a mailbox at a postal service, a-la Mailboxes Etc.

I don’t know the business but I’m not far from there. It’s a big mall, that would be one of the interior stores. It’s Bramalea City Centre now.  I’m sure business is long gone, though I might go by for fun

I draw the line at collecting... D&D beach towels.

Shoulda been: ".. from Pangreenia to Floratopolis, from mystical Treeonia of spectral Forests to Schruborial dimensions." - The Forests of Leng

For the curious, the cross posting on DF was mildly interesting

I like the detail from the DF post about the address now being a nail salon in a mall. Random other example: the address for the publisher Metagaming is now assigned to a credit union for state government employees. I wonder if they still get enigmatic letters about finding a lost golden unicorn?

I sent him a letter years ago (probably 15+) about any old copies of his books and the possibility of republishing them.  Left many ways to contact me - he didn't reply back.  I may have called him one time as well when I was driving through the Sault and he wasn't interested in talking about it then either.
