Coming to a Gary Con near you:  the debut issue of _The Twisting Stair_, an old-school dungeon design newsletter from Tony Rosten and myself!

The first issue's features include:

- Combined Hoards as Adventure Hooks: Treasure Maps in the Mega-Dungeon (Part 1 of 2)
- New monster - the Sasquatch
- New magic item - the Ring of Reflection
- An 11"x17" centerfold dungeon map, with 9 pre-generated geomorphs and three blank geos, that can be mixed and matched and placed into the 3 blank geomorph locations built into the map
- Wandering Monsters table
- An article on the unique design requirements for first levels of dungeons, focused on the need for replayable encounters; details three such centerpiece encounters as examples

Available at the Black Blade Publishing booth in the Exhibitor Hall at GaryCon IX.

Issue #2 will release at the North Texas RPG Con in June 2017.

Allan.

Not only do I want a copy, how do I start my subscription!?  Please provide details on how I can order this and future copies, as I am unable to make it to Garycon.  Thank you in advance!

Hi guys---

Thanks for the interest!  We'll have copies for sale after the convention, as well as at NTX.  I'll post more details later next week!

Allan,

Please put aside #1 and #2 for me for NTX!  Looking forward to stopping by the booth and getting those and a few other things...

It looks great!  I would be interested in picking up a copy of #1 and 2 as well, but won't be able to attend either convention.  Will you ship?  Otherwise, I might need to ask for assistance from someone that's attending.

Doug,

I can ship yours after NTX if need be.  Just let me know what you work out with Allan.

Yes, we'll do the usual mail order options after the show.

Thanks for the interest, guys, it's quite heartening! :D

I like your theme of a real, physical newsletter supporting a pen-and-paper game!

Put me down for copies please, I'd love to check them out :)

I draw the line at collecting... D&D beach towels.

Thanks Thunderdave! :D

The Twisting Stair #1 sold well, and seemed to be well-received at GaryCon in general.  If anyone has feedback/suggestions, we'd be happy to hear your thoughts on the premiere issue!

Allan.

Yep, and Jon and the boys and I just finished unloading the van.  If you'll be coming to NTX we'll have copies for sale there, Donovan, or we can certainly do a mail order.  I think it's unlikely that we'll run out of copies between now and NTX, and if we do, we'll definitely reprint in time for the show.  LMK what you want to do.

Allan.

Wait, I want first prints.  :-)

Maybe, I need to buy my copy online instead of waiting until NTX...
