Hi all!

This is more mini related, but it does have to do with D&D and modules.
I finally have some time to start casting a dungeon. Tomb of Horrors has been done, so I want to do something different. I'm debating Steading of the Hill Giant Chief, Forgotten Temple of Tharizdun, Shrine of the Kuo-Toa and other classics. Anyone care to weigh in on what dungeon they would pick if they could have a terrain casting of it?

If you can do a structure, I'd vote for the Steading, or Tegal Manor, or maybe the haunted house from U1

For a dungeon, my personal fave would be White Plume Mountain.  I wonder if Dungeonland/Magic Mirror would work?

I draw the line at collecting... D&D beach towels.

Shoulda been: ".. from Pangreenia to Floratopolis, from mystical Treeonia of spectral Forests to Schruborial dimensions." - The Forests of Leng

Steading of the Hill Giant Chief has been done.  And this thread not only shows it, but shows how he built it.

I believe someone on the Hirst Arts forum is attempting White Plume Mountain.

I would love to see the Mansion from U1 as terrain.

On another note, Temple of Tharizdun would be HUGE.

Tomoachan would be large, but not as big as Tharizdun.

I always thought that if I had the funds and available space required, I'd make a full Caves of Chaos.

But, the moathouse and dungeon from the Village of Hommlet might be fun.

From a "cool to build and see"/"architectural marvels within" POV, I second the votes for G1 (specifically for the dungeon level), then probably WG5's third level (although "The Statuary" from Dungeon #112 rocks too), B1's first level (the second level is much less memorable), then S2.

Shouldn't a scale model of G1 just be a normal house? You move the miniatures through the house to play the module, & when mom yells at you for leaving toxic lead minis on the clean kitchen counter, it's a bonus random-giant encounter.

I was looking through old modules to see what would be appropriate to build - Castle Amber would be room-sized.

Yeah. Money and time would be helpful to do the whole City of Cauldron (from the Shackled City Adventure Path).
Including the caldera of the volcano, the thing would be 80 feet in diameter. Give or take a few feet.

The T1 moat might be a good and easy one. I must say, Temple of Tharizdun is mighty tempting. Always loved that dungeon.
I appreciate all the input, guys!

For my ToEE game, I constructed the prison of Zuggtmoy using Hirst Arts casts. The one room encompassed a 6' long by 3' wide table. And that was just ONE room.

I would love to do the entire Temple, including the Nodes (IF I had the time and obviously the funds).
