Hi all---

Do any of you have copies of the earlier True Dungeon adventure modules run at GenCon's past?  I'm looking for information about the Greyhawk content in the earlier ones (and the later ones, if they're also set in Greyhawk).  I've bolded the ones that seem to be Greyhawk-related (just going by their titles):

True Dungeon (August 2003)
True Dungeon (August 2004)
Battle Below Castle Greyhawk (August 2005)
Assault Above Castle Greyhawk (August 2005)
Escape from the Spider Cult (August 2006)
Race Across Greyhawk (August 2007)
TD7: Hope for the Lost (August 2008)
TD8: The Five Aspects (August 2009)
TD9: With Smoak Comes Fire (August 2009)
Getting In (August 2009)
True Grind (August 2009)
TD10: DragonWard (August 2010)
TD11: The Evading Hilt (August 2010)
True Grind (August 2010)
TD12: Dragon's Redoubt (August 2011)
TD13: The Lair of the Sea-Lich (August 2011)
True Grind (August 2011)
Giants' Travail (August 2012)
Draco-Lich Undone (August 2012)
True Grind: The Dead Do Rise (August 2012)
Lycans Afoot (August 2013)
Golembane (August 2013)
True Grind (August 2013)

Any info appreciated!  Thanks :D

Hi Allan,

I have all of the adventures except for (I believe) the first 5 because there were only 5 copies of them released as per my inquires on the True Dungeon forums.  Pretty sure I have 2 copies of Race Across Greyhawk, will have to look when I get home.

Couldn't pass up the opportunity to post some pretty pics, I love the cover layouts on the old TDs :)  Sorry I don't have the Greyhawk mods grodog!

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

I draw the line at collecting... D&D Towels.

Did we need: Jade Magi Sewer Crawl

Shoulda been: ".. from Pangreenia to Floratopolis, from mystical Treeonia of spectral Forests to Schruborial dimensions."  - The Forests of Leng

Also, I just checked and td7 also takes place in greyhawk, it is the conclusion to the series preceding. Td8+ at a quick glance does not appear to take place in greyhawk! or at least not explicitly.

Thanks guys!  I'm looking for that kind of summary information from the cover, Matt, which I'll use to build a summary page on my site for them (or perhaps link to them from the woefully in need of updates Tourney History page).

BTW, I was looking through the Gen Con 2004 program guide last night and it said that year's adventure was an adaptation of the Village of Hommlet so it would fit within the Greyhawk campaign setting.  Will have to see if 2003 had a similar brief summary for the first year or not, and if not I am sure there are some people on the TD forums who know/remember.

Here is my set:

I remember reading that one (only) copy of modules #1-3 were sold in a binder at a True Dungeon auction and ended up selling for a few thousand dollars so there isn't much hope of finding them,  I've never seen #4,5  and only a couple copies of TD6.   Considering that you had to buy $1000 or more in tokens, some of the earlier ones probably had print runs that were fairly low.

Thanks Matt.  If there convention blurbs do speak to Greyhawk content/info, I'm definitely interested.

I wrote to Jeff Martin at True Dungeon, who advised that

Jeff Martin via email wrote:For a time we were sponsored by WotC and thus allowed to have Greyhawk IP in our events.  That changed and now we really don't have any references to Greyhawk.  For these adventures:

True Dungeon (August 2003)
True Dungeon (August 2004)
Battle Below Castle Greyhawk (August 2005)
Assault Above Castle Greyhawk (August 2005)
Escape from the Spider Cult (August 2006)
Race Across Greyhawk (August 2007)

These are the only ones that involved Greyhawk, and they were never published other than very simple word files given to DMs.

If the first few were unpublished, it would seem that the binder auctioned off was probably just a print out of the word files Jeff mentioned?

Allan.

Just checking the True Dungeons forums again.  Jeff posted there:

The very first TD auction had the only copy of all 4 (#1-4) modules bound together in a cool book.

Also mentioned is that #5 came in a plastic binder so probably has a few copies out there.
