Weird... My copy of the so called Spartan Edition, has signatures even on the back of the top of the box... Here only the number is present...

What is you version: the back of the top has either numbers only or signatures along numbers?

Allan.

I was watching this and did bid & win a few items from Jolly, but this got too high for me. I did a search for it and found a seller on Amazon who had a copy. It arrived in Fine+/VF condition and only cost $18, so I was happy with that ;-)

"Okay, we turn the corner and see a Purple 'WHAT' !?!" . . (the DM rolls a 20 or so he says) . . It all went black right after that.

Very interesting item listed at an acceptable bin!

Tempting, but have purchased a lot of stuff from NKG over the years and anything below EX+ is not going to be collectible. I purchased a low cost item that was listed as VG+ and I was disappointed.

I have to agree with this.  It has probably been previously mentioned but one of the last things I bought from NK was a book in VG+ that contained mold/mildew staining inside the covers - it was graded as VG+ because NK concluded the mold was no longer active.

The book is in NM condition. Yes, it got chewed up by my dog, but it's now back to (NKG) NM condition because the dog died.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

I don't think I would buy anything "vintage" from NKG, based on poor and less than accurate descriptions. Would restrict my buying to 3.0 or later (stuff that you can expect to find in like-new or shelf-wear-only condition).

I haven't bought anything from them in a while, so things may have changed, but I never had a problem asking for more info, or getting a problem resolved if something slipped through the cracks. Everyone makes mistakes; customer service is the response to the mistakes.

If someone is still looking for the Realm of Shadows player aid kit, there's one on ebay right now.

Surprised it didn't sell. That's a reasonable price.

I am surprised that no one here mentioned this one:

** expired/removed eBay auction **

...apparently from the bid war someone here could have been involved...

I'd like to hear from Mark if he knows this book and if he ever got a copy!

They're short newsletters (6-8 pages each), with some interesting content in each issue:  one features Gygax's Hunter character class, the other has some news about Castle Greyhawk and Necropolis development plans at New Infinities.

If one of these Mythrules Game Books does make it into a collection here, it would be great if someone could post a short biopic/synopsis. For me it's always fun to find out about the existence of something completely unknown in the Non-TSR D&D category. This looks like a similar ruleset, like Legacy, as opposed to a campaign setting. Does anyone have any further info?

The author has a website...

...is there anyone who knows this zine? (Brette for instance... )

This arrived around a month ago and after a quick look I decided to post some info.

"The North-Rhodesian Stoatbreeders Gazette and Horticultural Times" issue #1 May 1976
Edited and Produced by Jon Noble

some of the articles:
"Magic-User Modifications"
"New Classes(Assassin, Witches)"
"Classicist, a new player class"
"Creature Feature"
"The Proper use of Flasks of Oil"(from News From Bree #16"

A very cool old zine  :D

Available now from Die Cast Games: Night of the Black Swords by Allen Hammack (Author of C2-The Ghost Tower of Inverness) with artwork by Jeff Easley and Diesel.
