It paid off!  This copy is in really nice shape and the shrink wrap/sealed baggie is intact. :)

This one has been on my list for quite some time.

Wow, what an awesome pick-up. Can you provide some details on where you got it and approximately how much?

Thanks in Advance - Paul

"Okay, we turn the corner and see a Purple 'WHAT' !?!" . . (the DM rolls a 20 or so he says) . . It all went black right after that.

Hi Paul,

I won this copy on eBay UK in August for $44.45 plus shipping to the US (~$23).  As others have noted, the auction photos were not extremely clear so I was taking a bit of a chance; however, the book arrived well packaged and was in great shape in the original shrink.  Overall I was very satisfied. :)

Thanks,
Ryan

This is rather a question than a real indication... Ok, look at these please and then please confirm me that these are right here rather than in the silliest price topic:

I have one of these, knowing Noble Knights pricing policy the real value is probably a third of this

There is a good chance that book passed through my hands at some point.  I found 3 copies locally when I first moved to Southern Ontario almost 20 years ago and then picked up an old stockpile of another 13 copies a few years later - most sold to small press collectors (many of them here).  I haven't seen one around in years so its become rare to find.  Where that puts it in today's prices is anyone's guess.

Wow, great price.  These usually go between $150-$250ish.

That did end up selling when relisted. It's always funny to me when something could have been bought at a single bid gets relisted and then gets multiple bids

Those minis are rather hard to come by.  Here's the link to the seller's sets that sold:

Very cool, and I've never seen them before. I shouldn't be surprised that they're Citadel, so much stuff they've made over the years.

Not on ebay, although it seems an interesting product:

The Ruins of Murkhill - Original Dungeons & Dragons: Planet Eris Gazetteer

Have you ever heard of it?

Yeah. There's an entire OD&D board over at http://ruinsofmurkhill.proboards.com/

I don't visit often, but noted dignitaries include Bob "Robert the Bald" Meyer and Rob Kuntz. Mike Mornard used to be there as well. I missed the drama, as I often do, so I don't know why he left.

Planet Eris is the work of Jimm Johnson, and was first published at NTX this June. It's an excellent setting, in the flavor of REH and ERB, leaning a bit more to the former than the latter. The map is gorgeous, and the booklet full of adventure ideas---well-worth picking up!

If you're interested in more discussion, there's a thread over on the Knights & Knaves Alehouse at Knights & Knaves Alehouse • View topic - PLANET ERIS Gazetteer & World Map

Mike and Rob are not active there anymore, nor am I.  The site seems to be over-run with sock puppet accounts/users.
