I was *this* close to winning that lot.

If the winner is here and wants to part with any of the Wee Warriors stuff, I'd like to hear from you.  :)

Well the amount I am spending on my Jeep engine is about what this went for.  That puts things into perspective.  For me at least!

Jeep Wrangler?

I actually expected it to go much higher...there are some pretty sweet gems in there aside from  the obvious....

Not ebay, but for the Wilderness fans out there, NK has the htf free rpg day 2007 item Tell Qa for $20 (on sale):

Wilderlands of High Adventure - Imperial Town of Tell Qa (Free RPG Day 2007)

I had this on my wanted list for a long time :)

I draw the line at collecting... D&D beach towels.

Shoulda been: ".. from Pangreenia to Floratopolis, from mystical Treeonia of spectral Forests to Schruborial dimensions." - The Forests of Leng

It s rather a question than a classic post here: do you know these books?

http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/PatW

...apparently there s an extremely good feedback from the net.  Is there any of you who read and reccomend them?

Same seller also has an orange-cover, comb-bound Stalking the Night Fantastic, too.

Yes, very much so, although I'm afraid I haven't memorized Playing at the World well enough to recall how well-documented early forays into sci-fi gaming are. I think Zocci's 1971 Star Trek Battle Manual is supposed to be the earliest published example, so anything before that is particularly interesting.

PatW does cover some early science fiction games, though mostly to talk about the War of the Empires, as Gygax was directly involved. That one goes back to 1967.

Issues of Galaxian are rare, but I wouldn't have thought they were particularly valuable.

Lensman was published earlier (1969) by Spartan International. This was designed by the same Phil Pritchard who published that Galaxian issue.

Was this War of the Empires actually published?
