Could be because there's still inventory available for some of the Gamelords products. I think you might be able to still purchase this boxed set, and some additional Gamelords products, through Different Worlds Publications for close to the original retail price. Here's a link:

Except its not a first edition, its a fourth, and the seller is offering to get the author to sign it and sell it is a signed forist edition.
So the poster knowns nothing about what they are selling and hasn't even bothered to check with the authoer to see if they are factually accurate, or the signiature is just something someone is going to do inside to make the buyer feel special.
Without facual accuract and a photo of the author actually signing this, I can't see that anyone can trust the seller, and the signiature likely deminishes the value of the book unless it is provably from the author.
Seller has also only ever sold one thing, and that was more than a year ago.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

I does look to be in really good shape, but one pic isn't enough to know for sure, especially when asking that much for it. Updating the description would certainly help too.

I think the seller might actually be Judy. She might go by the name Judy Latham now.

Update: I contacted the seller and confirmed that she was previously Judy Kerestan. She took my advice and cleaned up the description and added some pictures. It looks like a beautiful copy, and it's legitimately one of the author's copies, which she is willing to sign, and likely provide provenance for! That certainly make this item more attractive to collectors.

Judy also mentioned that she will be listing a PotVQ at some point. It's supposedly in similarly pristine condition. I don't know what printing it is, though.
