That was a really good outcome for someone.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

hmph.   It could have gone better for the seller too, but they did not accept bids needing US shipping...

I'd have picked it up but I missed the end of the auction.

Not exactly an RPG, nor a great price, but somewhat interesting to anyone nostalgic for those long-forgotten days of 1999:

The early hardback without the dustjacket. Still worth picking up, nice layout of the early system. Also those books are quite well bound.

[edit] ... in fact that is now me as the high bidder.  :)

I imagine most people open these things up. I did. They're probably the most common of the four boxed sets to turn up on eBay in NM condition. For those who particularly like shrink-wrap, or like the whole unboxing experience, I don't imagine the shrink-wrap adds more than $5-10 to the price. It did pretty well as it is topping $100, I think I bought mine in 2012 for $15, si I imagine he's quite happy with $100 for it. Is Feathered Priests worth any more than that?

Unless I have doubles of something both in shrink, I always remove from shrink and read my stuff.

Never forget that an important part of collecting is enjoying the things you collect.

I meant, why take it out of shrink to photo it for sale?

Oh, I see.

That sounds illogical.

Pretty wild I just saw this checking a seller's feedback.

Maybe someone got burned once, and was never going to let it happen again?
