There seems to have been an unofficial game called Broomstix. It was available as a free pdf.

I think there were/are a number of home brewed HP games, but nothing ever official.

I remember coming across a few on Scribd. Which btw has tons of great home brew, one-offs, even fan modules and rule subsets for official games.

It's originally how I found dragonsfoot.com, I believe.

During the d20 era, a HP "clone" (ripoff since we now use clone to mean different things) was published, with a nice leatherette cover, schools of magic for the magic university students, etc. Unfortunately I don't recall its title, but it was definitely HP 2with the serial #s filed off.

I think I remember that actually. The cover had a young woman with her head propped up on her arm, lying down, with a wand in her hand. I seem to remember the layout was in atypical Landscape format rather than the typical Portrait upright rectangle.

It didn't interest me at the time, but I will keep an eye out for it and post here if I see it or remember the name.

Here is the book I was thinking of. The age range in the book is apparently vague on purpose and the rules are explained by a narrator. It's also generic 'magic academy' so one can 0lop it down into any d20 setting, yet seems to have HP in mind. (That's all from reviews, YMMV.)
