So I found this on RPG Geek

Crimson Cutlass | RPG | RPGGeek

I guess that this game was originally released from a gaming-magazine called Scientific Fantasy (I think that Gurps bought either the game system or the magazine years ago... hmmm..). You know like those old war gaming magazines that has the game inside of them...   :)

Well anyway I'd like to know if there was an expansion book called Barony. It would be in the similar 5x8 format like the other 3 books.

I was playing Traveller last night for the first time, and the guy running the game pretty much challenged me to find this product. I'm like... you ever heard of the Acaeum?   8)

RPG’s, D&D in particular has had a major influence in my life. It’s bonded me together with life long friends...it’s that bond in life not just as friends, but in our jokes, our mannerisms, and what we find funny. Invincible Overlord

did you......take the shrinkwrap off your copy? the horror, the horror

If you were wondering if I asked the question above just so I could use the Joseph Conrad quote from Heart of Darkness when one of the Barony books is called Conrad's Fantasy, well, of course I did.
If you were actually wondering it, well, my sympathies.

When I acquired my copy, it wasn't in the shrink.  Not that it appears it was ever used, mind you.

And as to the quote . . . that's so funny, it kurtz.

fyi...

Crimson Cutlass (self-published in 1989-90) was submitted to TSR in 1980, and I rejected it. The ship-to-ship action was slow and cumbersome (individuals in melee, rather than any bulk-attacks mechanic). And we were moving out of boardgames and into an RPG focus.

I don't think I kept a copy of the submission; it was very thick and I hadn't yet acquired any salvage rights for TSR throwaways.

If anyone has any pictures of the Crimson Cutlass (and supplements) they could post it would be appreciated.   PDT_Armataz_01_37

I took some pics, few months/years ago of the boxed set and the content (I guess that the tarot deck was added by the GM to replace the cards' sheets on the last pic):

Speaking of Barony, I am wondering if the different booklets wasn't sold separately. My copy of Conrad's Fantasy has a stock number and an ISBN on the left bottom. I cannot see of Bracton pic if there is the same thing. In this case, why adding a stock number and an ISBN in a booklet from a package?
