Hmmm, I'll take a closer look at my copies to see if I have copies with those differences, too, Brett.  No other differences caught your eye?

on my excel lists of my collection I have the 1st print as having non-bold text on the inside front cover and the 2nd print having bold text on the inside front cover, but that was just speculation on my part as to the ordering.

1987 aggressor games iirc. essentially a home-brewed item from a guy that lived in new england. i think mine is copy #17 of 50. he went to the new england game stores and sold them some copies. i picked mine up from the hostile Carol Monica, owner of Games People Play in Cambridge.

so i had a home field advantage in picking up my copy. now how brette got one down in australia is another story...

One thing at a time..

The 2 prints are exactly the same, there are examples in both where there are dark letters from the reproduction process, they both have the same dark letters in the same places.. the only difference is fonts on the cover and the inside page where it says "the Necromican" again..
On the back inside cover of my "Booty and the Beasts" there is an ad for the Necromican, has the same font as the top example.. (and in fact all the pics online have the top example)

If I was a betting man I would say the bottom one is the early print and the top a later print.. Does anyone know which was released first? I'm hoping that Booty was released 2nd that would explain advertises the later print advertised in the back.. also I think there is some confusion on what the spelling is in the bottom one.. the e and the c are too similar looking,  may be changed font to make it more readable?? seems a reasonable assumption..

i agree with brette that the bottom one is "probably" an earlier print. that's the one that has the text on the inside front cover lighter than in the "2nd " print. i can't imagine that he would have "lightened" it up for the 2nd print. but that's all i'm going on. they seem identical otherwise, but i'll look again.

Mine are both capital letter printings, so I'm not much use here ;)
