My friends, please consider voting for my game at this year's ENnies Awards. Astonishing Swordsmen & Sorcerers of Hyperborea has been nominated for three awards:

* Best Game
* Best Production Values
* Product of the Year

You can also vote for my small press publishing outfit, North Wind Adventures, in the "Fans' Favorite Publisher Section".

Voting closes in 10 days so please vote soon!

It would also be a great help to my small publishing outfit if you could ask some of your friends to vote. Thank you for your consideration! Here is the link:

All,

While you're at the ENnies page voting for Jeff's AS&SH, please consider casting a vote for the Throwigames Simple Roleplaying System (TSRS), in the 'Best Free Game' category.

My entire system is free digitally and already has a few community contributions.  Limited print runs have been available through my website and an All-in-One Guide is planned soon for Kickstarter.   I've paid quite a bit for very good art in the monster guides recently.  Definitely worth the download.

Thanks!

Yes, please do consider voting for Thom's game, too! :)

Cheers,

fwiw, you might mention the name of your game system.

...and I went to your site, reviewed blogposts back through December of last year... and STILL couldn't find the name. (Found it later tho, twice -- buried in the first paragraph, no font emphasis, and buried in the last paragraph.)
...and looked at the Ennies for best free product, and STILL couldn't find the name.
(Finally found it in best free game. I guess I'm really stupid for it to take so long.

Congrats on the nom; somehow THEY found it.
but imnsho the whole name search was doubleplus ungood. :(

*        TSRS         - Tarybu Socialistiniu Respubliku Sajunga (Lithuanian: Union of Soviet Socialist Republics)
*        TSRS - Technology and Security Risk Services (Ernst & Young)
*        TSRS         - Texas Super Racing Series
*        TSRS         - Tri State Racesaver Series (dirt track racing organization)

You could go for the first one. I don't think they are using it anymore.

Frank et al,

Ahh, the Throwigames Simple Roleplaying System needs a simpler name perhaps.  Your website points are well taken; I'll address that tomorrow for sure!  Sometimes, with so much focus on getting things done, I forget to get out of the weeds to see the garden a bit more.  Thanks for that!

And yes, there are two 'Best Free...' categories, mine being under the 'Game' version.  Sorry it was a chore - probably ended up being the most valuable vote!  ;-)

Thanks!

Thom

The first one might be easier to find too.  ;-)

The Shadows of Esteren Book 1 (a Kickstarter I backed) won gold in Best Art, Interior and Best Production Values, and silver in Product of the Year.  If you haven't seen it, it is truly a wonderful product.

And at Gen Con I picked up my backer rewards for their most recent Kickstarter, which funded on August 11.  Five days between funding and delivery has got to be a record.

Congratulations again to our Acaeum member nominees, Ghul and throwi.
