I have never seen anyone post about these guys on here. They are certainly a cool part of Dungeons & Dragons history and their production was tied in with the TSR bendy figure line.

Here are some prototypes from my collection. I will try to get some more pics and old LJN catalog scans up later...

unreleased version of Kelek - he had a much fatter body to fit the battlematic mechanism

alternate pre-production sculpt of Zarak - most of the differences are subtle except that here his dagger is molded as part of the arm

The LJN figures have been discussed from time to time over the years. Usually in the longer interesting items threads.

I just bumped the old kitsch thread. They still pop up on ebay quite a bit.
