It is in! This is a Kickstarter exclusive adventure packet, so if you want it, you need to pledge the KS. It will NOT be included in after-event sales.

The Cataclysm is growing larger by the day! The base project had an estimated total page count of 304 pages spread out between about eight books. This does not include maps (around 24 separate cardstock units). Right now, the boxed set will include approximately 456 pages! That is a 50% increase in the boxed set from the original inception. There will also be an additonal 6-10 maps. Cataclysm has not shattered the previous boxed size record for a first edition product (as well as Swords & Wizardry).

Additional Goals:

At $8,000 I will add a bonus goal and a stretch goal. The bonus goal is a Raiding the Acaeum Since 1999 T-shirt. Artwork below. Just add $15 to your pledge and you get the T-shirt in the size you want. The stretch goal will see the addition of a 50-page 8x11 Raiding the Acaeum Since 1999 note pad. The note pad is a free addition to the kickstarter boxed set.

Here is the latest update on the Kickstarter:

The Cataclysm is growing larger by the day! The base project had an estimated total page count of 304 pages spread out between about eight books. This does not include maps (around 24 separate cardstock units). Right now, the boxed set will include approximately 456 pages! That is a 50% increase in the boxed set from the original inception. There will also be an additonal 6-10 maps. Cataclysm has now shattered the previous boxed size record for a first edition product (as well as Swords & Wizardry). These totals do not include the bonus modules Raid on the Aceum and The Village of Lore (both will come in around 32 pages each plus maps).

Additional bonus and stretch goals will be added at the $9,000 level which will include a miniature package from Center Stage Miniatures! At $10,000 there will be more miniatures and another adventure module.

For all the bonus money items, does that all have to be included before the Kickstarter project closes or can they be bought when the survey is sent out?

Backers can purchase them by upping their pledge or at the time of the survey which will go out right after the project closes. I will be ordering all the bonus items right away so they are all here when the boxes ship. So you have a little bit of time.

it is important to note that none of the kickstarter exclusive items will be available after that point and only kickstarter backers can order. Also, the kickstarter sets will be individually numbered, signed and come with a certificate.

With just a few days left...

I just wanted to take a minute to extend a sincere and respectfuly "Thank You" to all of you who pledged their support to the Cataclysm.

This project has been kicking (no pun intended) around in my head for more than a few years. But I just could not decide how I wanted to put it all together. It started out as a simple module idea, but I thought it could be much more. Why not get other people involved? Give them the opportunity to actually collaborate and all that. Plus, a Cataclysm cannot be contained in a standard module or even a super module. No, a box set was needed. But the logistics of it all were just staggering. Like many of you, I have a "real life" job that pays the mortgage and bills. I have a wife and three kids which keep me busy - all three kids play one or more travel sports and I do some coaching. Somewhere in there I run Pacesetter Games & Simulations. The thought of putting together the Cataclsym was going to be my personal Cataclysm.

Then came Kickstarter. I knew it would be part of the solution. And it is! I had no idea if the project would work or if I could generate the interest needed to bring on the Cataclysm. Although, truth be told, I would have found a way to bring it to life, one way or another - and most likely years from now. But I really believe in this idea of a collaborative megadungeon and I simply had to make it real.

That is where you came in. Your support - and I still can't believe how much support there is - is making the Cataclysm a reality. It is going to be a huge boxed set, with a fantastic level of collaboration from people who have never met one another, but share a common love for this game. The success of this project says nothing about Bill Barsh or Pacesetter Games, but what it clearly shows is an enduring passion for a game that consists of some 35-year-old rule books and odd shaped dice. And for that, I thank you!

In several months a package is going to show up at your door. Inside you will find a heavy-ass box filled with adventure and hours of reading. Yet it is much more than that. Inside you will find the work of dozens of people just like you. Hopefully, you find just some of the enjoyment we all have experienced from this wonderful game.

I am humbled and energized by your support and, again, Thank You for bringing on the Cataclysm!

Almost at the magic 24 hour count down until the end of the Cataclysm...Kickstarter that is. If you are on the fence, please take another look. We have hit all the stretch and bonus goals so there are lots of goodies for free or to be added. Plus, I will be adding another update tonight and possibly adding one last stretch and bonus goal!
