An optimist would say that it might be an actual manuscript for one of those published items...  :)

I have seen other M.A.R.Barker stuff in manuscript or pre-pub form.  That could be one of them.

IIRC the published version of Mitlányal was released by Carl Brodt in 2004 @ DunDraCon; details @ Tita's House of Games | Tékumel Items

The entry at that link says:

Mitlányal

...and numerous corrections to the prior text-only version.

I'd guess that the text-only version is what aia bought.

Tekumel has had this sort of underground publishing effort for several years, via Carl Brodt, so I'm not surprised that there was a text-only version available before.  The question is, of course, if it's more valuable than the more-professionally published version? :D

Older would be cooler for me.

Professional does not equal better in my mind.

Then again, my mind is a strange place to most.   :x

A Wizard is never late, Frodo Baggins, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to.

I'd have to dig out my copy to be sure but I think the book has 6 plot lines in it as well for potential adventures to be built on.  If its the one I am thinking, a lot of them seemed pretty standard like there's this sword and ... and its stuck in some stone ...

I picked up a copy about 2 years ago for $10.  I think they range in the $10-$20 region mainly because not too many people search for it - although I can't remember what Frank's copy sold for.

I haven't seen many DunDraCon items come up for sale---is that the first one in the past year or two??

Interesting, those have blue maps that look similar to TSR maps. Did any other publishers use blue ink maps like those?
