Yes, Pied Piper is a new company selling new AD&D style modules for old collectors.  The one for sale is part of a special collectors edition in that 500 or so of the exact same module (and same print run) were produced.  26 of them were labelled with letters A through Z and called Runic copies.  The rest were labelled with numbers.

Pied Piper Publishing for the web site, and http://pub175.ezboard.com/bpiedpiperpublishing for the forums.

Basically, like Mars said, PPP is Rob Kuntz's imprint, and publishes first edition modules using the OGL (alhtough Cairn used Rob's old Creations Unlimited system, which was similar to JG or Role Aids---HtK for HP, etc.).  Several titles have been released or are in pre-order status:

  • Dark Druids (PPP's only .pdf product)
  • Cairn of the Skeleton King (about 50-ish copies of the signed/numbered edition left)
  • Tower of Blood (available now, at the printer)
  • The Original Living Room (available now)
  • The Original Bottle City (orders for the limited edition are being accepted now, the standard edition will be orderable after the LE orders close, by the end of January at the latest)

More titles are in the works, too.  Rob has also published the Maure Castle extravaganza in Dungeon Magazine:  issue 112 (3 levels that update WG5 Mordenkainen's Fantastic Adventure to 3.x, plus a new level entitled "The Statuary"), issue 124 (1 new level, "Chambers of Antiquities"), and issue 139 (1 new level, "The Greater Halls").

Always loved Day's stuff.  His Master of Kung Fu artwork was incredible.

Anyone want to swap me a LE Bottle City for a copy? :P
(Lowest letter that wasn't in Paul's hands, albeit he sold one of his range...).

Based on David's collecting habits he will need at least 2.  And if it is in box format then he will need at least 20.

Wow ... the mail just came, and I am sitting here now with my jaw still hanging open.

I recently won this item ...

Quirks game

... which is a copy of Quirks, a 1980 release from the makers of Cosmic Encounter and Dune. It's fairly rare, and I've been chasing a copy for quite some time. I'd call this a "good win."

So, I open the box and also find both Quirks Expansion Sets. The ones that are impossible to find. Both are uncut. Both are still sealed. They were not mentioned at all in the listing. Here's what my face looks like right now:

8O  8O  8O

Wow. Both Quirks expansions, uncut, falling out of the sky and landing in my lap ... that's edging into Orange B3 territory in terms of rarity.

Wow. Did I say that yet?

That's one fun looking game I never did get around to picking up, alas...

Darn; did you say sealed/uncut...? Guess you won't be able to play those, then.
'grats for poorly described listings! :)

(Anything you're missing now for Eon, btw?)

No, I'm pretty solid in that category. A nice copy of Darkover (mine is incomplete) would finish me off in terms of Eon completeness.

In terms of upgrading, though ... well, I've decided to go after sealed copies of all nine Cosmic Encounter expansions. I've got four in the house so far. Wish me — and my wallet — luck. :)

Yep, good luck!
My previous observations on some of the sealed expansions were definitely "against the trend". ;)

re. Darkover; incomplete /inside/ but with decent box already shouldn't be too bad to work out, surely? Were you not tempted to go for the likes of

Hey Red_Bus!

Nice snipe on the Unspeakable Oath #1 Grey Cover!

** expired/removed eBay auction **

I thought the seller might have dropped the reserve price a bit on it, but figured it would still go for over $100

Thanks - in email conversation he mentioned that he was connected to Pagan Publishing and may have another grey cover to sell, so if you are interested I would drop him an email.  I am pretty sure that he has a couple of red-cover versions left - so those prices may drop for a while as he lists them over the next few weeks.

I hope they will drop :)

I am looking for early TUO copies but not for these kind of prices...
Nice win however!
