as there were no bids at the very early time, i didnt deem there to be a problem, so went for it!

Okay I need a definition on this word (I'm part English, have friends in the UK, but still seem to find some words I never knew.)

Chuffed. Right. British slang.

We Americans never use slang, of course.

Savvy?

i like it JH very funny :)

chuffed adj. Someone who describes themselves as being chuffed is generally happy with life. You can also get away with saying you are unchuffed or dischuffed if something gets your back up. Make sure you only use this word in the correct tense and familiarise yourself with the meaning of the word chuff too.

As in, for instance, when I got my signed and mint copy of The Compleate Tavern, I was "chuffed," until I found out that there were cardstock maps that went with the original.

Look at the color of the booklet in that auction.  It appears to be pink.  Wasn't there a guy selling fake pink copies of this publication?

I don't know if the fake copies also had cardstock maps.  Is it possible that they aren't really fake?

Check for the staple marks inside the booklet.  Are there signs of older staple marks photocopied in the center fo the booklet?

Mine is tan and is signed by Kerry Lloyd.

Could be a bad photo color wise..but seeing the tables/etc cut out it makes it a reasonable price.

I had a pretty good day yesterday.  Since I became a Traveller collector about two years ago, I have been trying to pick up as much stuff as I can.  I have had a difficult time finding the rarer MegaTraveller items...especially the Digest Group items.  I got extremely lucky this past weekend.  One seller had just listed several items that I was interested in so I put some decent proxy bids in but realistically I figured I would get outbid on one or two of them for sure.  Since I really wanted them and didnt want to screw around with getting sniped and having to wait for them to come up again I emailed the seller and made an offer on all of them for a nice little sum (only done this once before).  I waited about 24 hours and still no one else had bid on the items.  During the afternoon on Sunday I noticed that all the auction listings had been removed.  So I checked my email and lo and behold the seller had accepted my offer.  I had already bought a couple of items from him so I knew he was a decent fellow so I took the chance and transferred him the money.  What I got was:

MegaTraveller - Arrival Vengeance (never seen one on Ebay)
MegaTraveller - Guide to the Diaspora Sector (last one I saw went for $65)
MegaTraveller - Digest Group The Early Adventures (last one went for $55)
MegaTraveller - COACC (common item but he threw it in with the others)
Traveller New Era - Vampire Fleets (last one went for $57)
Traveller New Era - Assignment Vigilante (common item)

I figured he wasnt expecting to get the amount that I offered ($160) and I added that he would save money by shipping them all to one person and not having to pay the Ebay fees.  He got a decent amount but I still think I got the better deal and also peace of mind by not having to worry about getting outbid.  :D   Of course, now I cant afford Warriors of Mars....darn.  :P
