At my end of the fun-find scale, I bought a damaged but usable Robin's Laws of Good Gaming for $1.00.

Is a long term goal to obtain all prints?  That's a very ambitious goal.

The main problem is to identify all prints... I have several prints of most of them but some prints have only few differences and it is very hard to tell which one first...
David if you find it, I would very interested by a complete list of prints for all modules and rulebooks (with differences)

NICELY DONE!
I am still looking for a couple of the T&T Solos.
(15 and 17: Blue Frog Tavern and Gamesmen of Kasar.)
Dont care which printing, just want one of each Solo right now.
And from what I read, there could be as many as 15 different printings for some of them.

I have a complete set of the Socerers Apprentice Magazines now, which was not easy to accumulate at all.
I had all but a few for a long time and then bought every issue in one listing....

My most recent fun T&T purchase was a copy of Uncle Ugly's Underground Doom adventure (second print Nov 1979) :D
I had been looking for that one for a LONG time.

Also recently aquired a 30th Anniversary Tin Box Set (with Ver. 7.0 T&T Rules) that was quite tough to locate.

The hardest thing to find I think is the french translation of Uncle Ugly's Underground Doom precisely, and the translation of Labyrinth. They were released by a small press, Hocus Pocus who has done only these 2 products. Impossible to locate any copy. Even to find someone with one copy. I guess that they are even rarest than the 1st pr. of T&T rulebook, since at least we know that someone have one copy!

Yes *very*, I think I'll stick to alternate covers to start...

Geraud, probably you've seen the Acaeum wiki Essay: Tunnels and Trolls Printings - Acaeum

I've been using that as a jumping off point... and I'll see if I can't contribute some information, too :)

Very interesting, thanks for the link.
The problem remains differences between some printings. As instance, for Naked Doom, 1st to 4th prints have the same cover and seems absolutely similar but perhaps are not. Or for Dungeon of Bears, I have 2 different US prints, with the same copyright date. How to know which one is the first

Yeah very ambitious goal there David.  I think there is a thread around here where Rick Loomis stated that all printing was done in house at FB, and he printed in very small batches.  Thus whenever he needed to fulfill an order he cranked up the presses and incremented the print no, even if that was just for 50-100 copies.

Like the D&D modules I tend to divide these up in "monos" and "color" prints.  Within the "monos" you have the earliest loose-leaf staple bound, then moves to saddle stitched, then to spiral bound.  If you collected one of each within these three categories that would be a pretty strong collection of solos right there

Then there is the color stage and these are typified with FB saddle stitched and then the later perfect bound Blade Publishing varieties.

Oh and  I don't see "Elven Lords" anywhere in the photo. :)  We gotta meet for coffee again soon ...I switched to McDees though. ;)

Who says my inspiration was D&D?  That was just a background phenomenon.

Then don't forget about the nonFBI T&T items ;)  I'm looking for an Agent of Death by Ken St Andre for Infinity Limited if anyone has one.  Anyone?  Anyone?  Anyone can tell me they've seen one?

According to my pattern, it will probably take me about 5 more years to find one (hopefully).  Took about 5 years to find Dungeon of King Lout, 10 years to find The Black Vial, 15 for Agent of Death?  At least its an expected value timeline :)

Thanks for posting this loki ...I've never seen this cover or version before.  Which leads to the question if no one has a copy how did you find out about them. :)  Do you have a pic of the Uncle Ugly's?

No pic for this one... I know that they exist by the way of several fanzines/magazines of this era (as for the cover of Labyrinthe). But I don't know anyone having one. I asked on a lot of french forums, try to contact authors, asked in each bookshop I went, etc, no success, even to locate a copy.

I recently picked up a large lot of stuff (from Kijiji).  Everything is in great shape.  Also included are about 150 Dragon and Dungeon magazines and some hex sheets.  Here's some pics.  How'd I do?

It was just a lot of nice stuff until the last picture.

Then it got sick.

So I'll ask; what did you pay for this stack?

That's a strange mix of dates to say the least (leading from the core books) and an awful lot of hexes.

$800 (Canadian, I presume) was the asking price.
