Hey, I probably would have jumped at it too, had I seen it first. I'm still a player (albeit in a 3rd edition game), and I wouldn't have been able to resist saying, "Wanna see my bone?" to the DM.

I was watching a Range 1 dice roller that didn't sell for $40:

I think that the Dragonbones go for closer to $100. But my memories are also vague.

I was never aware of that one, bitd, but I have to say it looks pretty cool. Were they advertised in Dragon (pretty much the only periodical I ever bought during the '80s, too young for the '70s). It's amazing any of this stuff still works at all after so many years, in any case.

Decided to go the the local HPBS on Wednesday before xmas. I was thinking that someone may have sold his collection for some xmas money. I was right! Someone had sold a stash of near mint Goodman Games. I got 14 mods for $5 each. All are low numbered DCC.

The HPB 20%-Off sale is still going, too. *sigh*

Also check your FLGS to see if people have dumped any collections there. Your FLGS might have some end-of-year clearance sales anyway.

Yeah, I took advantage of the 20% off sale and a gift certificate myself this past weekend. Picked up a whole bunch of Midnight adventures and supplements for $2.50 apiece, a Shadowrun 1st ed. hardback to replace my well loved softcover, and some cheap console games for NES, Genesis, and X-Box. It was like Christmas all over again.

My best find of 2009 was today!

Palace Of The Vampire Queen (5th print) was sitting among the usual junk at one my FLGS. It's solid and complete. Condition is at least Fine.

Thank god for the 30% off end of year sale, or else I might have had to come up with the marked price of $2.99.

What, no collector moralists to decry the fact you didn't pay the FLGS an appropriate price for that hard to find collectible? Not that I'm one of those, I prefer to pay as little as humanly possible if the seller is ignorant or too lazy to value their items accurately. :wink:

Castles&Crusades modules. A ton of them (19 modules, a setting folio and a players handbook) for $77 shipped. I owned maybe two or three of these and while I don't use the C&C system they are easy converts back to the one true game of AD&D.

As far as I can tell, there is no need to convert Castles and Crusades modules. Just use as written.

War in the Age of Imperialism : War! Age of Imperialism | Board Game | BoardGameGeek
Avalon Hill's Age of Rennaisance: Age of Renaissance | Board Game | BoardGameGeek

and The Worst Case Scenario Game (consumery but fun)

I would normally not deign to sully these boards with Boardgame buys but in total these games go for $300+ and I paid $15.00.

WOOT.

I hope to walk in there one day and find RPG stuff, but so far, this is my best haul.
