Either the market has collapsed on it (always a possibility with GURPS books), or Amazon sellers are being reasonable for once.

Guys;

ATM, some hard to find items are going for less. It seems like the only time I sell something is if they are part of my never-ending 15% off sale (maybe because it appears to be on sale people jump all over it).  Auctions seem to be going stupid cheap lately, but Ebay store prices are still steady.  If you are a reseller, or just someone that doesn't mind buying lots to get 1-3 items you want out of it, you can do really good placing the items you don't want in your store for a slight markup.  The trick is you may have to sit on the item for a bit. Especially around the holidays when people have a bit of cash (maybe a lot less than years earlier, but people still have a few bucks) they don't want to bother with an auction and prefer to buy it outright, so a store or one of those 30 day Buy it now auctions might do a lot better for you.

As for Gurps stuff, it seems to have really hit the skids. The only items that can reliable do well are Prisoner or Horseclans, and even those are relatively cheap from their heydey.  I sold a Gurps Prisoner for $40 recently, and that is a $75 item from years past.  Anyway, if you wanted to complete your Gurps library now is the time!

I can vouch for that.  I had about ten GURPS books this past week in great condition and the average selling price was $2.00 with $3.00 shipping.  Three of the books didn't even sell at 99 cents!  Speaking of which, if someone wants them at 99 cents, you can have them.  Just look at my completed auctions to see photos.  We have:

Best of Pyramid Volume 1
Werewolf: The Apocalypse
Romulans: Complete Data File

Personally, I am waiting until the new year to sell higher priced items. :?

Quivering Trid-Nodes!

While I'd rather have paid the initial $4.95 bid, at least I beat out the sniper. Anyone here?

Thanks, I was happy it went undernoticed. Now if I could just come across a SoJ 1st ed., a Maustin Caji, the 2nd ed. mail order Essays, and the fanzines, I'd be well on my way to a complete Jorune collection. I'm not even going to hope for a corastin mask to pop up on eBay. If any survive, I imagine they're with Miles Teves or the Lekers.

Didn't even know I wanted a Dragonbone, but at that BIN, I figured it had to be a good deal:

That doesnt look like any Dragonbone I've ever seen.  I know they come in a couple of different colors (smoke and bone IIRC) but I wasnt aware they came in different styles.  This is the one I recall seeing in Dragon magazine BITD:

Dragonbone Electronic Dice « Vegas Decker's Blog

The one in the Ebay auction looks similar but not quite the same.  Anyone know if the one in the auction is a knockoff or if another company made a similar product and called it something else?

The auction was the original.  The picture you found is the second generation from the same folks.

Check out old ads in Dragon (none of which I seem to be able to find online at the moment, although I had them a few hours ago...) and you'll see.

Wonder if I'll get the case it's supposed to come with, as this guy has:

I'm glad I wasn't the only one thinking it.  :D

It was just another week of gaming and they were all crouded around the table overflowing with coke, chips, dice and books..

The DM sys "I've just bought the most amazing thing that I'm dying to try out".. he reaches under the table and pulls out a long red velvet bag. He unties the string and the dragonbone slips neatly into his hand...

The DM sighs "Its a beautie isn't it..". He looks up and smiles at the players sitting at the table "Ok who wants to try it first?" he says..

Silence greets him as we nervously glance at each other...

Found the ads I was looking for.

We can see the address in the first one.  The second is cropped (it appears in Dragon 112, and probably nearby issues), but the full ad shows the manufacturer as DBE, Inc. in Lemont, IL.  I just google mapped it, Crestwood is about 15 miles from Lemont.  So it seems pretty likely that it's the same company (or at least they're related).

Since the rectangle also does d3 and d10, I'm assuming that's the later version.  Out of all of this, I'd bet the Dragontooth is the hardest to find. What buyer back then would have said, "I want it, but I'll never roll d100, so I'll just save the $5."  I doubt they sold many of those.
