I'd second that...his normal color prints start around $35US directly from his website. http://www.larryelmore.com/store_color.html

+ if I remember correctly, he'll sign them for free if you ask.

Limited print run + the #1 copy...should've gone for more. Just my 2 cents though.

With that in mind, I'll say $25 sounds about right them.  Unless you are looking for that particular piece then you can get something similar for $35 from the author and new.  So that would set $35 at about the upper limit.

#1 is a nice tough but maybe doesn't translate into extra $$$ in this case.  Does anyone really want to pay a premium for #1 of Acaeum Erol print?

Limited to 200 or 300 usually means it takes a few years to sell out so demand isn't terribly high.  Some of the 3rd and 4th Edition D&D limited prints pass through Ebay at 50% or less of original price.

Here's a Caldwell that has been lingering for a bit at $30:

** expired/removed eBay auction **

I didn't notice this before, but here's the same print --> http://www.larryelmore.com/products/eyes_of_autmn.html but in a larger size 13"x19" for $35. "This print has a limited run of 2,000" straight from his site.

Even though it's from a run of 2000, that specific auction is still a limited version of 10 from MegaCon.

Mars --> yes, I would be willing to pay more for the #1 print of the Acaeum print. I think others would as well.

As with all my posts...just my 2 cents

I received a copy of the playtest version of Arcane Wisdom, the unpublished 4th DragonQuest supplement! Thanks to smarmy1 who helped me in this transaction.
I know that this book is now available in pdf format, but the pdf version is different from the original unpublished book.

OK, this one made me chuckle. This is a Partha Pewter or some other brand's version of The Magister, complete with sparkly belt buckle crystal. I guess I could see how they might mistake The Magister for Moses...but wasn't Chuck Heston holding a staff when he parted the Red Sea?

Right place, right time:

Someone got a deal on Cthulhu and Runequest lots before I stumbled upon these.  Glad they didn't want them!

I got a nice Gorgonstar Titan for $80 @
** expired/removed eBay auction **

Now I just need to determine if the Battlelands expansion is inside it too or not (I haven't inventoried it in earnest yet).

Erm.... wow?

Yeah, I know that had been sliding towards $200 with any other allowances for a slightly(?) rattled box, but beats paying almost the same for an AH copy hands-down, IMO. :)

(btw, does that read like they cloned a Troll & Toad description?)

Hey, speaking of T&T:  per their listing, it looks like the set I bought includes the Battlelands expansion too :D :D   I'll have to hop over to BGG to inventory the set, at some point....

Hey Grodog, what is the publication date on that?  1980?

Faro: AH Titan has been going for much less than $75/$80 since mid summer, (which is why I dropped bidding on them at $40 at the GenCon auction, and snickered when they went for $80+)  I picked up a complete, never played copy for $41 shipped, on October 2.

The price drop may have something to do with the re-release of Titan at Origins 2009 (or was it re-released last year...)

Oh, I'm absolutely positive it does.

One bummer side effect of the new Titan coming out, is that Valley Games asked AH General (ahgeneral.org) to quit selling their Titan CD.  Of course, I found this out after I picked up my AH Titan, and went looking for the CD, which has scans of the articles from the old  General magazine, pertaining to Titan.

Well, thanks to Mars, I was able to get a few neat things, like Road Rebels and the Spellbooks of Aldernon. Have bought a few things on eBay recently, too, but they've not arrived... and I'm not saying what I bought. ;) Quit tracking me.

Yes, with a hand-drawn "TM" next to the Titan logo on the side of the box, too---50% chance by Dave! :D

I definitely think that's part of it, and I wasn't aware that the AH Titan CD got pulled either, which is a bummer.

I just purchased two mint copies of Rappan Athuk III for a total of £ 14. There's no shipping cost because a relative can pick them up for me.  :D

The annoying thing is that they were removed from shrink so that their pictures could be taken for ebay.

***********

I've also just purchased 4 new copies of the Iron Kingdoms Character Guide, free of postage, for 4p short of £ 80.

Sweet!

Of course, it means I've only lasted two months in buying stuff (for myself)....  :x
