Just found a sack o bags that seem like good holders for some collectables.

Price: $10.95
50 Count Poly Bags.
8-1/2" x 12"

The baggies have a couple of nice features that most other poly bags dont have.
1) Has a large white strip for writing interesting information on the outside of the baggie.
2) They are top loaders and are zip-lock.

ok... make that THREE nice features.
3) You dont have to scour the Internet to find them.

And no, they wont be useful for everything in your collection, especially your really expensive treasures.
But for more common stuff, yeah.

Looks like expensive freezer bags.

Yep... they do dont they?
They are not thick enough for that though, The stuff would get freezer burn.

I am using a few of them already and dont plan to place the items I am placing in them into the freezer.
I am not going to use them for expensive stuff, just the more common items that will fit in them.
At 8-1/2" wide that limits what will fit in them anyway.
No thick modern Magazines, no hardback books, and no Super Modules either, but thinner moduels will fit just fine as will some thin paper back books.

Such as Monsters Monsters.

For those who wont be using anything like this; I was simply reporting another option. 8)

Actually, One of them is full and SWed and was purchased by me from another Acaeum member...

The others are indeed empty and were sent along with other purchases from a certain seller.
They were used to hold those other items with brown paper wrapped around that (for three of them, see the story below for the 4th one).

The seller has no clue where the original Contents of those boxes might be.... Nor does the person the seller was consigning the stuff for (or that person aint telling).

Of the four empty boxes, 3 of them are in VERY NICE condition, the other had a lot of clear shipping tape all over it (I posted a bit about that one a few months ago).
I was able to slowly and carefully remove all of the tape, but some slight damage was done anyway.

I don't know if there's a non-TSR one-that-got-away thread... but this is sure someone's fun find...

** expired/removed eBay auction **

Tegal Manor & CSIO for $80...

I was watching the auction for a day or so... then noticed the auction was changed to a BIN... I clicked on it to see the amount, then lost out by a hair as another bidder nabbed it before I could click again   :?

Curses, foiled again...

I draw the line at collecting... D&D beach towels.

Here it is.

8)

I got lucky with that one for sure.
Needless to say once I saw the BIN was there, I did not hesitate to hit the button.
I suspect if I had delayed just a few seconds one of you others would be grinning.   :)

A few seconds - nevermind - I think you beat me by a half second!  I watched the BIN go away just as I clicked...

Cheers, Gnat!  I'm glad they're going to a good home  :)

Imagine Magazine Issue 1 in decent Condition.
I thought it was a good price, even with SH across the pond and all.

They come up fairly often, but in good condition at decent prices they are Hard to find these in the USA.
It has taken me a long time just to get the few issues I do have.
Not that I have been looking really really hard for them, but when I see one or more of them at a decent price I normally try for them.

I watched a big lot of them that (IIRC) was an entire run of them in one listing a while back.
Sadly; I had no money at the time, so I could only watch from the sidelines......

Fair price. Good condition.
It's the special edition that fetches silly money.
And the binders.

For the lead freaks:

The seller had 53 unopened cards/blisters of Archive minis that had been stashed away. One buyer picked up 40 for $207 and another buyer got 13 for $78. The catch? The seller didn't have a good camera and for some reason could not identify the individual minis, so I guess it's going to be Christmas in August for the winners when their goods arrive :) Now if only someone would find a similar stash of unopened Superior Models minis for me...

I thought this was a pretty cool buy. A MERP Second edition poster-map set for $10.50.

** expired/removed eBay auction **

For those interested in the costs of shipping these overseas. The Seller simply wrapped the triangular box in brown wrapping paper and stuck stamps on it - postage was $10.76 and it arrived quickly (US to Australia) and in perfect condition.

I grab a NM copy (the box is slightly damaged but the content is in pristine condition) of a complete boxed set of World Action & Adventure. I never saw any boxed set before, only the rulebook, so I am more than happy

That is a nice find.  I haven't seen the boxed set before either.  Let us know what is inside.
