The Half-Price Books around the Dallas-Fort Worth area seem to have dried up.  But I found something today that I have not seen before:

Oh, wait; I got them confused.  I found this one today, too:

Nice find on the Blasted Land.....I almost went to that HPB yesterday!  Very curious to see how that one does without a folder if you are thinking about auctioning it.

That BL isn't numbered the way the rest of them are. Any idea why not?

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

Nice find.

Interestingly I just came across the name Mark Mulkins. He also wrote a Top Secret RPG variant in Dragon Issue # 57!

Ah so you picked those ones up - I was the under bidder.  Nice pickup!  I'm not a big Palladium collector but those are on my list to eventually pick up.

They do show up, and because they are not collected as widely you should be in with a decent chance, good luck mate!

This was the 3rd set that I have watched and the first one that I bid on.  The previous set was sold by Kevin S and sold very high.  The set before that sold for about $20 for the whole set (actually it might have just been 2 of the 3 books).

Here are 3 of my recent acquisitions:

What Price Glory?! (1978)
Tome of Treasures :: View topic - What Price Glory?! (1978)

Simian Conquest (1978)
Tome of Treasures :: View topic - Simian Conquest (1978)

Submachine Gun (1981)
Tome of Treasures :: View topic - Submachine Gun (1981)

Planet Mars continues to grow but surprisingly enough, my 1 bedroom apartment does not.

Simian Conquest looks v. interesting!  What is it like?  e.g. skirmish heavy or more atmosphere and setting?

You say this like I have time to read any of these ;)  I am stockpiling for retirement.  Simian Conquest isn't really heavy on anything.  Its only 26 pages which is split by 13 pages of character development - generation, advancement and types (Apes, Humans, Mutants, and Astronauts); 11 pages of Combat rules including movement, combat, mounted combat, nets, weapons, horses, wounds & endurance; then 6 pages of Campaign setting: movement, encounters, healing, technology.

I think it is safe to say it is inspired by Planet of the Apes.

Those are amazingly cool little gems to come across. Never seen any of them before (or even heard of them).

Nice find. I have the PDF (no errata). I've never seen it crop up on eBay though. Where'd you get this?

A PDF?  I thought the book was very tough to find let alone someone creating a PDF of it.  I tracked down the author and picked up the extra copies that he still had.
