OK, so I cracked. Well, it wasn't me, so much, as my fiancée who was doing some eBaying on her own and came across a book she knew I'd want... so, I bought it. Probably should not have, but I did.

Shadowrun 4th Edition Limited Print, #868 / 1000.

The last one I saw went for much more than I BINned it for, so I'm glad.

Who put up the one at the convention? Counting this one, that would be 4.

TFM recently won one that wasn't categorized very well in rapebay.  Then there were the couple you knew of Frank, and Blackmoor's.  It is a nifty game, well thought out and conceptualized.

This one was put up by a guy name Duke Seifried.  He left a photo-copied not in the bag about him being a VP of TSR in the 80's and starting several other gaming companies. He also put in a photo of himself in all his 1980's glory :)

Excellent condition item, actually perfect 8O

Nice little surprise.

Did anybody else get a Duke item?

I think several of the Wee Warriors items were his.  The Vanquished Foe that I won was his as well.  The PotVQ was Troll and Toad's (via Ken Fonarow).

I wonder if Bracton's Dwarven Glory was a "Duke"

No idea.  I didn't get a note.  But there are about three additional pages, on graph paper, of game notes.  I'm guessing the seller was pretty happy he put his notes on separate paper.   :?

Blackmoor, surely you know that Uncle Duke was the head of Heritage until he ran it into the ground . . .  :?:

Some of his handpainted used-for-catalog-illustration minis are currently being sold on eBay.

OK, so I found one of those Temple of Andar things for $25... real question is: is it worth it?

I would say for $25 maybe not.  I think he still has lots of stock and in recent open auctions they have sold for $8 (I bought 2 for this price and have passed those along already), then TFM got one for $5, then another sold for $8.  There were a few before the one I bought that sold cheap too.

Pretty much what I figured. No big deal. I'll dump it if I don't like it. One can always get rid of stuff. :)

My copy of Dungeon of Necros (1981) arrived yesterday - I am guessing most people were at GenCon and missed this auction.  The only reference to it I could find was on the old Afterglow site and a blog by the author's daughter (but couldn't get in contact with her).

** expired/removed eBay auction **

I had to buy a bunch of other stuff to get it but was happily surprised at the condition of some of the other stuff - the ToEE ended up being in about NM condition.
