Hi,

i'm looking for help to find out if Powers & Perils by Avalon hill was ever reviewed in Dragon Magazine, Space gamer magazine or White dwarf magazine.

I know there is a review in Different worlds as well as in Fantasy gamer, but i have no clues of other reviews and this seems odd to me.
I expect at least that a review popped up on Dragon magazine around 1983-4, but SG or WD coverings of the game would also be a great discovery.

thanks in advance.

Just did a search for 'Perils' on the Wiki.

Doesn't pick up anything in Dragon, but there is an article in Fantasy Gamer Number 6.

Of course, there are many articles in Heroes magazine, but that is mainly supplementary stuff put out by Avalon Hill.

thanks Hermit,

i was aware of the review in Fantasy gamer 6, though i am still puzzled at how is possible that a review of this game is missing in Dragon magazines issues from the eighties.
And Space gamer did a tremendous amount of review in its history.

Anyway.

Powers and Perils opened to thunderous yawns.

TSR had no reason to hawk opposing game lines by publishing reviews.

Avalon Hill missed out on the ultimate game investment....Gygax himself.
