Anyone getting anything from Appendix N from John Adams?

I've emailed and heard back a couple of times, sent him a little extra to post out and told him to send out in one big lot. Quite frankly I don't want to keep hassling the guy.

I'm happy to wait as long as it takes, I'd just like to know that it will eventually happen.  A lot of his posts are vague or full of promises that don't seem to materialise, but I guess he has a lot of people on his back and I don't want to add to that.

Any reassurances of anyone in the know here would be good.  ....or will I be waiting forever, either way, be nice to know.

thanks,
Jon

I just saw an Appendix N item on ebay so something must have been released.

I missed the Kickstarter but I've picked up a couple of Appendix N items.  I'll have to dig them out to check the titles.  My poor mind stays fuzzy entirely too often.

I believe I have the same two as these if they are from the Kickstarter -

One of the minis is a Tianot (like Tiamat only not).

Then you win.  You have as much or as more of the KS items as anyone else, and you didn't have to wait three years.

If its any consolation to those that did put money into the Kickstarter, I actually paid more than what NK is asking for the set. I thought I'd bought them from the publisher but I checked and I actually got them from an individual.

The information I found interesting in all of this is that he specifically stated this is probably his last Kickstarter.  It's hard not to speculate on why he stated that.   :?:

As a quick note in reading the comments on this, the deleted account seems likely to have been caused by Jolly Blackburn's wife deleting her account since they seemed tied together (and happened about the same time).

I read some of the comments and find a lot of people are very critical.  Things like,

* "So, I ordered the 5000 pencil package, with the intention of handing them out at a convention that is coming up at the end of May."

What this May?  That is a crazy expectation - I'm sure the stat is something like 90%+ of Kickstarter projects are late (and probably the average lateness is much greater than 2 months).

* "they were supposed to be all shipped by the 31st"
* "But the postmark was the 14th." (two weeks later)

Complaining that they got the book but it was really mailed 2 weeks after he said they were shipped.  Sure bad show but almost every project on Kickstarter is late.  There are very few companies that you can trust - for me, I would consider backing a Reaper project or a Frog God/Necromancer Games project again but very few others.  I was just reading this article:

How Many Kickstarter Games Have Failed to Deliver? - GameSpot

There's a great stat: out of 186 game-related projects with over $75K in backing, 63 have made it to market (at time of the article).  So about 1/3 actually get it done - nice.

So far from what I have seen, D20 is doing better than other companies who I trusted more such Chaoisum.
Chaosium:  Feb 18, 2015: "Hi Mark, I have checked and your package should be at the post office, awaiting shipment."
Mark: March 30, 2015: "It has now been over 5 weeks since my package was "at the post office" and nothing has arrived."
Chaosium: April 1, 2015: "I'm sorry I don't have a more definitive answer for you. We are working with the post office to get the shipments out ASAP. I'll update you as soon as we have more info, and apologize for the frustration."

Where are we now, May 9, no update no package.

There's a lot more detail that can't be publicly revealed at this time.

But hey, feel free to buy into d20Ent projects if you like. :)

If you read the other threads, the best way to get a product from a Kickstarter is not to support the Kickstarter but to buy it from a retailer after the product is completed (if that happens)  You don't tie up any money in risk and in many cases get it before Kickstarter backers do.

When I saw the name Ken Whitman, I thought to myself, "I wonder if that's the same Whitman that did thumbs3.ebaystatic.com/d/l225/m/mvkijB4 ... Z6QxCg.jpg.

Looked it up, and yes, it was.

Then I wandered over to RPG.net, where there was 1 comment on it:

My friends,

The new Kickstarter campaign is now live!

Image

HYPERBOREA ADVENTURE THREE-PACK

The award-nominated role-playing game, Astonishing Swordsmen & Sorcerers of Hyperboreaâ„¢ is back with three new, exciting adventures!

Ghost Ship of the Desert Dunesâ„¢ (Talanian)
Forgotten Fane of the Coiled Goddessâ„¢ (Salvador)
Beneath the Cometâ„¢ (Ball)

Each of these sword-and-sorcery adventure modules is site-based, fleshing out some small portion of the Hyperborea setting and providing classic, memorable adventure material. These adventures are designed for the AS&SHâ„¢ game, but they are suitable for use with the traditional editions of the world's most popular RPG, as well as its modern simulacra, such as OSRICâ„¢ and Swords & Wizardryâ„¢.

Physically, each module will be saddle-stitched, range from approximately 44 to 56 pages, and measure 8.5 x 11 inches. Each will feature full-colour, card stock covers, and sharp, black & white interiours.
